I bought the Ryobi trimmer knowing it was reconditioned. Everything out of the box was in perfect and excellent condition and easy to put together. When I went outside to try it it was very powerful. The trimmer performance was excellent. For storage the trimmer takes up very little room in the garage. The only thing i wish was that the battery would have lasted longer on the trimmer but I have a medium size yard and I finished everything on my first go around. As i started my second go around the battery needed to be powered up. No complaints, just saying but I am very satisfied.

Long time corded trimmer user. So right off the bat, the freedom this provides is great. Trims good. It is light (unless you put a 4ah battery on it. I have a not too small yard in the city (ranch in a sub in the city). So I use the 1.5ah battery and it does the front and back without running out of juice.Not very adjustable. My corded craftsman had adjustments for the secondary handle position, cutting head angle and the rotation to use it as an edger. This one only has the rotation to be used as an edger. But to be honest, I don’t miss those other adjustments. It’s maneuverable enough that it doesn’t bug me at all.

For standard garden jobs, I’d definitely recommend this to others.Lightweight and easy to maneuver, compared to my old corded weed wacker. The cutting radius isn’t very large, so there’s a bit more time required to cut the same area — but less tiring because of the weight and maneuverability.

Is a reconditioned Ryobi weed eater warranty the same as a new one. I like the one I have, although I have had to repair the wires two times now.
