The trimmer come with the wrong curved shaft trimmer. After an hour on the phone at the help desk, they are supposed to send a replacement. It is currently out of stock. I was able to use the trimmer with my old Ryobi edger. It started and ran as expected. It is my 3rd string trimmer in 10+ years. The other two are dead and buried.

This was a great purchase and served my needs well. Very powerful trimmer. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the bump line mechanism it does not always work well and the long line wraps around the crank shaft just above the trimmer spool. As long as I keep the line about half of the full length it is fine.

Still I’m first season but starts easily if you follow the start instruction pedantically- I deviated once and it was a pain. Usage is normal urban yard approx 1/3 acre. String feed is good but I have yet to reload- that could be a different story. Fingers crossed it’s as reliable in years 2+

I have had this trimmer for about a month. I have used it 3 times. It seems under powered and has a hard time keeping up to speed. The strings are mounted higher in the head than my previous trimmer making it very difficult to get the close cut I was used to. It has a very slow lag between pulling the trigger and the head responding and often seems like it wants to stall while idling. I’m not sure if this is normal for this trimmer or if it is an issue with my specific trimmer. It is light enough for long use and not overly noisy. The shaft length is good.
