I absolutely love this weed eater, it has more then enough power and has taken on some pretty tough jobs with me! Best 100 dollar investment !!

Second reconditioned unit I bought. First one is still working perfectly and I attribute that to using only the ethanol free premix. I bought the one I’m reviewing to use as a pole saw since I have the attachment already.

Reconditioned unit working just fine for me. Used the starting instructions on label on the unit instead of those in the manual. Didn’t get the first ignition pop until the sixth pull, while label said by the fourth, Being near 70, I don’t pull as hard as I used to. Later starts once warmed up are easy. Burned two tanks of premix gas so far, and performing very well. Nice not to drag power cord, gas head definitely more powerful.

I t would have been nice to have an operators manual with the unit, and the box was a mess, so bad I was worried it was damaged.

This Ryobi reconditioned 2-cycle string trimmer is fantastic! It runs better than the Stihl string trimmer I had before. I had rebuilt the engine and replaced the piston ring on my Stihl trimmer, but it got stolen by a thief when I left the garage door open accidentally one night after a project.I bought this 25 cc Ryobi 2-cycle string trimmer because I bought a new 25cc Ryobi 2 cycle handheld blower from Hope Depot. The power and fuel economy of that blower impressed me so much that I bought this 25cc Ryobi 2-cycle string trimmer because it has the same engine. It has the same startup instructions as the Ryobi 2-cycle blower. Once you get it started, it runs with great power. It’s very reliable and I’m looking forward to maintaining it indefinitely. The .095 string it comes with is quite thick and durable. This trimmer can handle any weed eater lawn maintenance tasks. For most men that are tall I like the straight shaft design. It just feels great in your hands and it’s very maneuverable to get the job done the right way.Overall I would highly recommend this product. I give it a Five Star rating. It has a great little engine with a ton of power and it has very good fuel economy on the 2-cycle fuel. I like this string trimmer better than my old Stihl.I bought the reconditioned 25cc Ryobi 2-cycle string trimmer after buying the brand new 25cc Ryobi 2-cycle gas powered handheld blower at my local Home Depot. The reconditioned one that I got looked brand new and I’m very happy with the additional savings.

Starts easy. Good power. Stalled on 1/2 full tank when trimming sidewalk turned sideways. Maybe due to pickup tube angle. Turned flat and ran fine. Actually like this machine.

I purchased a 25 acre tract of (basically) undeveloped land a couple years ago. I’ve been fighting a losing battle trying to keep brush at bay after the previous owners had harvested most of the pine. I was using an array of cheap B&D battery powered tools (hedge trimmers, chainsaw, trimmer) that now seem ridiculous. This thing has been a huge help. I’ve managed to clean up land that would have previously been basically impossible. I bought brush cutter, blower, hedge trimmer, and pole saw attachments seperately. I’ve been able to cut down thickets of briars 8 feet tall with pole hedge trimmer. Clear out 2-3 inch trash trees in seconds with the brush cutter and cut larger trees with the pole saw. Even blow off the area around my cabin site keeping it free of the encroaching falling leaves. The machine was SIMPLE to start out of the box (and I have very llittle experience with 2 cycle engines). It was/is easier to start than my John Deere 4 cycle Lawnmower. Prime it (the instructions say 10 pumps but I normally do 5). Pull on full choke a few times until it tries to start. Pull on half choke and it should start. Move to run. I spend more money and buy the premixed oil/gas on Amazon. I know I could make my own for much cheaper but that is super easy and 35 dollars will get 6 cans which will last for a long time. The only thing I regret about this purchase is that it doesn’t have the handle bars like the larger trimmers. I didn’t know much about this type of equipment before purchasing this so I didn’t know that I would want that (and that they normally come with larger engines). Even though I could use more power, it has been very sufficient for the time being while I continue trying to talk my wife into letting me get a tractor.

I had my suspicion buying a reconditioned unit but added trufuel, pure gas with premix, primed it up and it started after a pull or two. Saved about 50.00 but still have full warranty. Highly recommended!
