so far so good

Item arrived quickly, was easy to assemble and performs as good as new. I wouldn’t do new if reconditioned is available. Plus, Home Depot is reputable.

I couldn’t believe that it was actually reconditioned. Looked brand new. Haven’t used but once so far but started with one pull. If this is how reconditioned looks, I will definitely be looking for other items when I have the need. Also less than half the price of a new one and shipped free. Win Win for me.

Great product. This was upgrade from 2 cycle units and I will never go back after using this.

The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I received this trimmer missing a nut to secure the string guard. I went down to HomeDepot to get it no problem and everything works Great ! For the money this is a great value and I’m very happy with this purchase. I’ve used 2 stroke and 4 stroke trimmers before. I much prefer the 4 stroke, and the Ryobi I purchased has been great. I highly recommend this trimmer to anyone !

Only had weed eater for short time ,but it is doing everything I have asked it to do. Have some heavy brush that I plan to use it on soon will see how strong it is then.

The 4 cycle engine is great. I made sure to add oil to the crankcase as it was shipped without any oil in it all, as instructed. It runs well and is quite powerful. It also fit my old Ryobi implements perfectly. I make sure to use non alcohol based fuel. For storage drain and run till no gas left

It has carb adjustment issues that can be repaired. Other than that, it works really great. It does not come with oil. Also, the trimmer head that comes with the refurbished unit is not the same as the one that comes with the new not refurbished model. This trimmer head is not as good.

I currently own 3 of these trimmers and each one worked great . Plenty of power to run the expandit rototiller, pole saw and all the other attachments. The only negative is the side cover. After a while it pops off and won’t stay on. I folded a small piece of cardboard and wedged it in the cover and now it stays on. Not too heavy and I can attach an extension pole and the blades stay far away from my legs. Sometimes it’s hard to start and turns off . Just get a screwdriver and turn the screw on the top and it adjusts the carborator . Runs great . Another irritating thing is the oil dipstick . It’s difficult measuring the oil. The refurbished trimmers don’t come with an oil can and you have to figure out how much oil is needed. The instructions aren’t really clear about the oil capacity. The guy who invented these trimmers and attachments should get a medal.

For the price, it cannot be beat. It starts right up and cuts the the toughest of weeds and overgrowth.

You just have to do some repairs your self ryobi motor was fine. Attachment couldn’t mate up because bent inward at motor attachment point. Other that this is our second Ryobi since 2009.
