Easy enough to assemble. No oil funnel included, but necessary to fill oil tank. Found it hard to start, and keep running. Has oil or gas leak (can’t tell which) when running. Position of controls is awkward and makes cutting job more difficult.Thinking of returning it.

Man am glad I jumped on this when available. This feels so much more solid than a 2 stroke. Plus I don’t have to run it at mind numbing speed to trim. Just kick it up to a nice gentle rumble and it tears through the trimming without blowing through trim line. 30 days in, starts with a couple of pulls. Good Purchase.

good product, runs great! it was everything it was supposed to be. The only problem I had was, it was suppose to ship with the oil included.It didn’t have the oil. I spent a bunch of time and made a big mess before I figured out what oil it needed and how much to use.I’m happy with the product it seems to have plenty of power and takes all my Ryobi attachments. I would have given them 5 stars if not for that thing with the oil.

The trimmer came in great shape even as a recondition – very clean and neat with all the books and accessories. Had to adjust the idle setting but that was well described in the manual and easy to do. Added gas and oil and it fired right up. With the edger attachment (purchased separately) this is relatively heavy but it is also very strong and capable. I would definitely recommend this product line.

It runs but sometimes smokes a lot. I should’ve bought an Echo. I have an older echo blower and it is 20 years old and runs superbly; same carburetor and never had to clean it or change fuel lines. Only thing I’ve changed on the Echo is the spark plug. On the other hand I have an older Ryobi (line trimmer) and it runs well but the gas tank and fuel lines leak; changed the fuel lines (and the primer bulb) but they’re a slightly smaller diameter so the fuel still leaks. The gas tank is integral to the housing. I sealed it with Permatex. I’ll keep it as a backup.We’ll see how long the current Ryobi runs. It handles fine. I like the ability to attach accessories. If it didn’t smoke occasionally I’d give it 5 stars. I’ll keep it.

Shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. Only one issue….it didn’t come with the OIL. After buying a quart and measuring out the correct amount (which isn’t mentioned in the instruction sheet), I started it up and ran great. Wonder if anyone else didn’t get oil.

I like the product, but it has an oil leak. For the price, I’ll tolerate it. Be sure to run the gas out of it before you store it for the winter.

The spool was difficult to assemble because the threads were damaged on the adapter. I had to remove the adapter and re-thread the hole before I could mount the spool. I was disappointed with that operation. However, the trimmer started up nicely and seems to run well.
