Ryobi 30 cc 4 cycle trimmers are fantastic and very durable. I use them with all the attachments – the pole saw, the brush cutter, the hedge cutter, the rototiller , the edge cutter and the blower and each attachment works great. It lasts and lasts and is very durable. I use full throttle and still going strong after 2 years. I don’t understand why some people don’t like this trimmer. I’ve owned 3 of these and never had any trouble and they were all reconditioned models. Starts up pretty quickly and the only thing bad is the side cover that fell off. I got a small piece of cardboard and folded it up and wedged it into the cover so it doesn’t fall off. It’s held on by latches and the cardboard wedge keeps it on tight. It’s kind of tricky figuring out how much oil this trimmer has . It’s difficult measuring the oil.

We used a Ryobi trimmer for many years, and when it just quit (finally) my husband wanted another one. We were pleased to find this one at Home Depot, and the price was great. And I am not sure what “reconditioned” means, but his one seems new. Works perfectly.
