Love how it does edging! But the automatic feed of the string doesn’t work as it should. When the string breaks off, as it does often, you have to remove the cover and manually feed it through – time consuming and frustrating. But it works so well it is worth the effort!

I bought a 24V trimmer and edger package in 2014/2015. I loved the wheel on the trimmer guard and it’s no-bump line advance mechanism, but I have to recharge the battery 3 times to finish the yard. I bought this 40V with the same features and with the bigger battery, I now only use less than 1/2 of the battery charge to edge my entire yard. The earlier model started revolving at a minimum RPM so that the line didn’t continuously feed out. For this 40V model, I have to squeeze the handle switch far enough to pass the minimum RPM to keep the line from feeding out continuously. I can live with that.

Bought this a couple months ago for the cottage. The battery life is just enough to do the whole property but battery doesn’t last very long to be honest. Nice feature to have a pedal to change the angle 90 degrees for edging. Solid piece of equipment.

I would have given this 5 stars, but a little disappointed with the battery life. It started out great, but now lasts for about 20 minutes, after only a few months usage. When it’s running it’s great. Love the edge trimmer feature and auto line feed.

Purchased this string trimmer/edger to replaced my corded tools. It is way more powerful than my old tools but it is not easy to handle. I’m 5’5″ and the shaft is too long w/o adjustment. And its multi-functional head is difficult to turn from trimmer function to edger; other model uses a spring loaded mechanism to assist but not this model.
