I was using this with an older DisplayPort cable, which was not DP 1.2 compatible. Lots of noise and flickering on screen. After upgrading my DP cable, everything worked great with this adapter. Have it running a screen at 4K @ 60Hz, from a Mac Book Pro.

A USB-C to DisplayPort adapter was necessary to connect an external monitor to the office supplied Windows laptop. This fairly inexpensive adapter does the job well with no video artifacts while performing typical office tasks. When connected the monitor was instantly recognized by the OS and the adapter didn’t cause any issues.
