This is a sturdy enclosure, but quick and easy access without tools. Only complaint is the enclosure is USB 3.2 speed (10 GB/sec), but supplied cable is USB 3.1 (5GB/sec)

Bought this enclosure to clone a root ssd drive running out of space. The tool-free fitting was easy to use and using Macronium Reflect cloned the drive quickly. This will now be used with a NVMe drive as a fast external drive.

Based on the excellent RTL9210B chipset, this is a really good nvme enclosure. The all metal casing does a great job at heat dissipation. And Sabrent’ warranty support is very responsive.

Works only for a short time then locks up. Unreliable at best. I read reviews on other similar products and the same problems.

Works as expected.

Works exactly as it should. I’ve purchased 2 so far without issue!

I bought this to hold my 2TB nvme drive. The drive locks up all the time and I suspect that the power requirements or chip quality are poor. I wanted it to work, and I went to the realtek nvme site and downloaded the flash upgrader and upgraded the adapter. The upgrade was successful, and it does state that the firmware release fixes stability problems, but alas, that didn’t fix my issues. Can’t use the device and will return it.

Until Sabrent releases a new enclosure with higher speeds, this is the best bang for your buck.
