I use this when traveling with my Microsoft Surface to provide conventional connection to projectors or an external hard drive and it works just fine or my needs. My only issue it the cable is a little short to it dangles from the side of the surface instead of laying flat on a table but for intermittent use I’m pleased with it.

I bought this to connect my 2020 Lenovo X1 Carbon, running Debian Linux to two external monitors. When only the monitors and no USB devices are connected, it works, except occasionally one monitor will turn off for a moment. If the laptop’s power cable is connected to this device’s USB PD port, one monitor will display either colored static or vertical lines. This continues when unplugging the power cable, and the adapter must be disconnected and reconnected to fix the issue. I’ve since replaced it with a Lionwei USB-C HUB, which has been working without issue, so I don’t have any reason to suspect it’s the laptop.
