I needed a tension roded gate that could expand beyond 60 inches.Most gates that I found had to be installed. That’s a major pain in the you know what. This is the ONLY tension roded gate that goes beyond 60 inches. It’s easy to use and looks fine in my living room setting. It keeps little Ossie out of rooms he shouldn’t explore in and gives me peace of mind that shoes and plants won’t be used as a teething toy.Only catch- if you use it for dogs (like me), it may not be suitable for a larger breed. It isn’t really high and they may be able to jump over it.

Looked for awhile for a gate that would go up and down quickly that was wide enough. Top and bottom adjust separately with tension which works well if top and bottom area are different widths. Sturdy, padded and stays in place.

It does cover the width it states but it is hard to take off and on when it is at it’s widest as I have it. It takes two people to remove it and put it back up.

I purchased this product for my living room doorway which is very large – 59″.(pocket doors). I’m using it to keep my two small dogs out of the living room and so far it’s worked great. The dogs can still see us but can’t get in. Very easy to install and fits snug enough that if the dogs stand up to it, it does not move at all.
