Installation was easy and it works perfectly despite modifications required.My thick power cord was too big to wrap around the cord shortener tabs; I had to clip one of the tabs at the bottom to accommodate the cord and add an extra exit hole. This was easy with wire cutters or metal snips

This works perfect in the grandkids room. Can plug tv in and not worry about little fingers pulling on the cord. It also protects the cord from getting smashed if items have to be in front of outlet.

While this does not do all it claims, it is the best option going at this point. If you just want to cover an empty rarely used outlet, then this fine. If you think you are going to plug in a computer or any item that is other than a simple light cord, think again. I can barely close the cover on cords that are for things like computers and vacuums etc. there is no space to shorten cords other than maybe a lamp with flexible small cord. And then you can barely get cover on. You can more or less fight it and force it over a computer cord, but it is hard to do. Not the greatest product but is okay for my lamp and rarely areas. For the ones I never use, I put a blank plate over.

It’s a good product,but it is very hard to fit on. The cord shortener is impossible to use and if you try you wont be able to close it. It’s pretty secure but does come off somewhat easy. If your using it for a phone or cable cord or something it’s perfect. If your using it for a tv cord or any other typical electronic cord it won’t work too well but manageable.
