This product is good. It keeps my busy son from getting into draws and cabinet. The screw may get loose and then he’s able to pull open the draw with his lil hulk self. Overall great product once assembled correctly

I first came across these spring loaded type latches in a house we used to live in. They were helpful then with keeping our oldest child, when she was younger, out of the cabinets and drawers that she could reach. I haven’t used them for years since then, that is, until now. Our current house has cupboard doors and drawers that have no handles or knobs on them, so these have come in handy with keeping the contents inside them out of reach from our inquisitive toddler son. All other safety devices we’ve tried, he’s eventually figured out how the mechanisms work and now opens them up easily. So compared to the other products we’ve tried, these Spring Loaded Latches have kept him out of getting into things he shouldn’t. I will definitely be buying more of these and recommend them to anyone with young children, or even those who have pets that tend to get into things they shouldn’t.

We placed the safety locks in our kitchen to keep the kids out of the cabinets. The locks are lightweight, easily disguised, quick to install and definitely childproof. They adhere to the inside of the cabinet. No problem for an adult to get into cabinets. Give parents piece of mind.

For us, these latches are great. They are a bit of a pain to install, but once installed they work well. I like the spring portion as it really makes it easy to open and close the cabinet. These are long and work well with thicker cabinets and drawers. It’s important also to install the catch (it seems like it would work without it, but don’t skip this step!)— your baby will pull on it all day and won’t get in. To open, just push down gently on the latch and you’re there. Really effortless. We have gotten a second box to secure all bathroom and entertainment area cabinets!

This definitely keeps my 1 year old out of my cabinets. I feel so much safer knowing he can’t get into my cleaning supplies. However it doesn’t keep my 3 and 4 year old out.

I have no idea why the bad reviews …. Maybe didn’t install them right? These are easy to install, even with the small screws! They work super well when used properly! My kids can figure these out either, which is fantastic. We have 30 cabinets and drawers to child proof, and it’s only costing us 15$!!

Make sure your cabinets are sturdy and predrill your holes. These can be tricky to install but my 2.5 year old hasn’t gotten through them yet and hasn’t broken them by trying to force the door open. I did them myself and they work just fine.
