It is perfect for the stairs because of the size of the brackets. They easily fit under a stair rail. The only difficult part is having to drill holes before screwing into walls.

This was so much easier to install than the other gate that we have. I had my husband install it but as I watched him do it I realized that I could easily have done it myself since you barely have to do anything except put the screws in the wall. The screws are already positioned inside the frame so you don’t have to get them from a box or sort which piece goes where. Seriously this could be installed in less than 5 minutes. It is really sturdy and we are my son just learned to climb and tries pulling on everything so I’m glad it’s secured tightly in the wall. highly recommend this–especially if you hate putting together furniture and following a huge book of directions, this is nothing like that. The easiest baby product we’ve built.

Five Stars for a reason! When they say ready to install…they mean, do you have about 4-5 minutes to spare! That’s how long it took to put in our doorway! I used a power drill and the screws in the box and was done before my wife even knew I started! It opens and closes easier than our other Safety 1st extra wide baby gate. I love everything about this gate except that you have to drill into the wall. No threshold for my son to trip on when I open the gate, which is great. Overall two thumbs up from this dad!

We have a 4-level-split house, so strong, reliable gates is a must in our house! We have tried many different style gates and the new Everywhere Gate is my favorite! The easy to adjust tabs ensured that we got a tight, strong fit (which my son quickly tested by standing on it shortly after we got it installed). It fully expands the entire width of the doorway without having to add on any extension parts. We love that there’s no bottom lip to worry about tripping over (especially my parents and grandparents when they come visit), and my son loves that he can still easily drive his cars etc through when the gate is open. Compared to other gates that we own, one big pro is that this gate doesn’t narrow the walking space, since it mounts right to the door jambs – no annoying screw in disks that you can never remember which way to turn, or that come loose and slip along the wall. Lastly, the ease of opening with one hand – but tricky enough that my 2 year old can’t figure it out-is well constructed. Bonus – the gate swings both ways! The only small con is that you do need to mount it to the wall using screws (which are included), so if you aren’t wanting to put holes in your wall, this wouldn’t be an ideal design. They are super small though and would be easy to fill/patch later. Would definitely buy this gate again!

This gate was very easy to install. It had spacers attached to it to make sure it was already level and at the height needed to install it properly. All it took was putting in a few screws and cutting some zipties and we were done. It has nothing at the bottom to trip over, which is very nice for a clutz like me. There are plastic spacers on each side of the latch that allows you to let the gate swing on way or another, or just let it free swing.

Very very easy to install just don’t take the instructions off the front like my husband almost did. Only con for us was it’s just a little too short for our large kitchen opening but we ended up being able to use it on a set of stairs. Great for dogs too!

I have a few different gates in my home, mainly for use to block stairs. This gate has proved to be one of the best. It’s sturdy and feels secure but is lightweight. Upon opening the box, I really appreciated how ALL pieces needed for installation were secured right to the gate. The directions were very clear, and with everything needed right at my fingertips, it took only minutes to install correctly. Only tool needed was a screwdriver, as the cardboard spacers insured a correct fit without having to measure. The gate is easy to open so it’s perfect for high traffic areas. I really like the swing stop to prevent it from swinging out over the steps at the top of the landing.
