I received a set of these to use on our fridge. I have a 14 month old who is super explorative. It was insanely easy to install. I simply wiped down the area I was gonna install it on with a wet wipe and then peeled the backing off the sticky side. I pressed it firmly on the fridge and that was it. I have noticed when I try to unlatch it sometimes it takes a little bit. I am guessing though because its new and over time it will be broken in and easier to unlatch. So far this has kept our son out of the fridge.

These are super helpful if you need to keep a toddler out of a freezer drawer. Our son was constantly opening the freezer and pulling all kinds of things out / dumping on the floor. These are easy to install and are not too difficult for my son’s grandparents or guests to operate. I liked that the sides were black and the buckle is a silver/gray. It blends in well with our stainless refrigerator. The only (minor / unavoidable) downside is that when we are able to remove these it will likely cause damage to the side of the fridge but since we have not done that yet I can’t comment on if it will or not. My son is strong and the tape on these is stronger!

I thought the Multi Purpose Appliance Strap compared to other products was much better in both construction and ease of use. I would definitely buy this product and recommend to others with small children. I was not aware of this product prior to sampling.

I have an infant and a toddler at home. They are always exploring different parts of the house and this safety lock has been a life saver to help combat any disaster that may occur. I can safely keep stuff in the cabinets and lock it. It also helps in locking appliances like the refrigerator. The construction is well made and easy to use. Its pretty strong and durable as well. I can relax now and have peace of mind that my kids are safe.

This Safety 1st Multi Purpose Appliance Strap has come in handy lots recently as my 3 year old is just figuring out how to open our fridge and freezer doors. She’s constantly opening the doors and has even left them wide open once or twice, but after applying one of these appliance straps to our side by side fridge/freezer it has completely solved the problem. The application of the strap was quick and easy (took seconds since it’s only a stick on strap) and is very simple to open and close as needed. I made the mistake of applying behind the doors of the fridge/freezer thinking it would hold stronger, but it makes it hard to reclose the strap. I would recommend applying the strap above the handles if you have a side by side. I have not tried to remove it yet and it hasn’t come off either.
