   This is great for small children walking or crawling that like to get into things. It is easy to put on your cabinets and is not permanent or damaging to cabinets. It works well to keep them out.

   This is a basic problem that seems flimsy, but is actually just very flexible plastic. I was surprised that the plastic could bend as much as it did without breaking. That is a good sign that at the very least it is a durable and strong product, for the short time that I’ve had it is. I think there might be one flaw with the design in that it anticipates that you need the dexterity to push in two tabs and then slide the lock off of the product; however, you really only need to push in one tab (the side without the longer lock piece) and pull on the plastic part enough that it will slide out of the lock. I guess that would be the negative of having such a flexible material. You would need a toddler to probably be strong enough to still push the tab in, but nonetheless I still found that it could be opened without pushing in both tabs and fully unlocking both sides. Something to consider if you have older siblings.

   This lock is excellent! It’s better than the ones I had before that installed on the inside and had to be pressed down to open. My toddler figured out how to open those! But he can’t get in to anything with these sliding locks and I love them! I have already bought more!

   I really liked these Safety 1st cabinet side locks. I love black and I’ve only ever seen them come in white so I really appreciated that. They are really easy to take on and off the cabinet as needed. I’ve used other brand’s side locks and these are far more easier and smoother to take on and off. I really like them.

   I personally used this to lock up the cabinets in the bathroom that our son refuses to stay out of. It worked!! Perfectly actually. I Just wish it wasn’t All plastic.

   I used the product for securing cabinet doors in the kitchen. These do serve the purpose, they are kind of large in size and don’t have a nice esthetic appeal. Moreover, I was worried that the rough terrain might scratch the door knobs; although i haven’t observed that. Overall, they are sturdy and secured the doors well. My son is strong, but he could not open them.

   I am a first time parent of a 9 month old who has just started to become mobile. I also keep my 2 year old nephew at my house during the week. We all know that little ones are experts in getting into things they should not be messing with in just a matter of seconds. Installing this cabinet safety lock gave me peace of mind that all of my harmful cleaning products were out of reach! I also like the fact that this safety lock does not require any screws, which can damage your cabinets. The one flaw I found with the lock is that it still allows the cabinets to open just enough for fingers to get smushed or pinched. All-in-all, I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to secure their cabinets without having to drill holes.

    What a handy little gadget! Having two kids both 2 and 4 is trying. To accomplish tasks and have eyes on both at all moments some days is impossible. I used this cabinet lock to secure chemicals under the sink and wow did it help. Definitely in comparison to other infant products I have tried this is 1000000 times better.. I found it effective, easy to install and easy to open. I definitely have seen these before, but never purchased because I was not sure that it would fit or function the way I would want, boy was I wrong. I will definitely purchase more and recommend. I even will buy some for my parents house!

    If you have children who are starting to get into things it is important to start baby proofing. These Safety 1st cabinet locks do a good job of keeping the little ones out of cabinets if you have the kind of cabinets with handles. It is a bit adjustable so it should work with cabinets that are of different spaces between the handles. They are pretty easy to open for adults but not for the kids. This is one of the simplest and least permanent ways if baby proofing.

    Our Granddaughter is into everything and this cabinet lock keeps her from under the sink and away from the cleaning supplies. Easy to use, even with arthritis. We will definitely be buying more. Thank you Safety 1st.

    You can see and feel that the Safety 1st cabinet slide locks are made using high quality and durable materials.They can be used on knobs or handles, although it doesn’t work great on knobs. They slide off easily. Works great for cabinets with handles.I like that no drilling is required, its easy to use. The sleek design blends in with my home decor.

    I use the cabinet lock from safety first on my bathroom cabinets I have grandsons that are 5 years old and they are curious. This has been a great product to use to keep them out of things. The only thing I didnt like was the way it was designed I dont have handles on my kitchen cabinets so was unable to use them on those cabinets.
