The black and brown Kombi Flapover Briefcase from Samsonite is a lightweight shoulder bag that is built to be durable with its ballistic nylon material and genuine leather details. For storage, the Kombi can hold laptops up to 15.6″, as well as tablets, and even has a front pocket for all your daily essentials. To gain access to your belongings in the main compartment, you’ll have to release the two buckles on the Kombi’s flapover panel, as well as its zipper closure.
The Kombi offers you three ways to carry it. First, as a traditional messenger bag with its adjustable and removable shoulder straps. Second, as a briefcase using its top carry handle. Third, as trolley attachment with its built-in SmartPocket sleeve, which is designed to easily fit over a luggage cart’s handle.

I needed a new bag to replace an old messenger bag that I always overloaded and as a result found difficult to carry. The new bag had to be smaller and to have several compartments to carry research materials and a laptop, while also providing easy access to travel documents, keys, wallet, and other paraphernalia. Samsonite’s Kombi Flapover Briefcase fit the bill perfectly. The orange interior allows for easy identification of items; the flapover is added security against pickpockets on public transportation while abroad; and the bag slides easily over a luggage handle. I use it as a shoulder bag, not a cross-over messenger bag, so the length of the shoulder strap is not of concern to me. Some reviewers have remarked that the position of the hooks for the shoulder strap make the bag unbalanced, but I don’t find that to be the case at all. It’s as easy and stable to handle or carry as any other shoulder bag. The outer fabric is quite strong, and the leather accents are a nice touch. Highly recommended!

It’s a great looking bag for the price. The only minor issue I have were the flap lock looking like a cheaper version and I sometimes have difficulty locking it in place but again the price I paid for this bag is sufficient.
