most stunning ultra wide monitor I ever had, price is reasonable, I am very happy to use it for photo/video editing, but OLED is a little bit too bright to use indoor, need to use software to make it dimmer.

I love this for gaming. The panoramic view of the 34″curve is awesome. It is easy to setup and it looks good

I have been using this brand new monitor for about 1.5 weeks now and cannot stand the visual flatness of the pixels. It wouldn’t bother that much except I cannot truly trust what I am doing while color correcting my video clips. I am sure this monitor is great for gameplay; however, I wouldn’t use it for anything that involves color correcting video/images.

I have a new 14 MBP with the M1 Max and was looking for a big second display. I did tons of research and settled on this for a couple of reasons–the USB hub and USB-C ports that charge as well as connect. All I have to do is plug one USB-C cable into my MBP and go to it. It keeps my MBP fully charged and I can also charge up my phone or AirPods via a USB-C to lightning cable. I also have USB-A plugs for my webcam and light. This is a good functional display for work. It’s not the magical Apple Display if you’re a graphics artist or photographer. But if you need extra screen real estate in a super convenient package, this is it.

from a gaming standpoint, this monitor has lived up to its name thunderbolt. the refresh rate and clarity software make it a truly awesome vision when paired with my nvidia graphics card.

The screen is amazing, very good picture quality. The port selection in the back is nice, especially thunderbolt charging port witch I use every day. USB is also handy especially if you have an external wireless keyboard / mouse with multiple pc attached (ex. laptop and desktop) . i use it for development, and it feels almost as you have two screens side by side. Higly recommend, did not had any issues with it.

I got this as mainly as work/gaming computer. I probably spend upwards of 12 hrs/day infront of my computer so something that’s comfortable and fast refresh/high performance monitor with versatility is what I needed. This monitor really fits the bill and I would recommend it to anyone.

I use my monitor on my desktop, for work, and social media. I do not do any gaming, but my partner uses it for gaming. The picture quality is absolutely flawless, the way Samsung has curved the monitor just gives it a picture perfect display.

The monitor comes in a much larger package (box) than I expected. Upon arrival The monitor did not come with any instruction manual. So you’ll have to download an e-manual from samsung website. which I found a little bit inconveniencing. setting it up was pretty straightforward as its already put together right out of the box. All I needed to do was connect the thunderbolt cable from the monitor to my computer and then the power cable to the monitor and I was good to go. I must point out that the adapter that came with this monitor is the biggest I’ve ever seen on any gadget. f the styling of the monitor looks gorgeous with a slightly aggressive 1500R curvature for a better immersive experience. While I’ve been using it for video editing I see a slight bow-tie effect while looking at the monitor. I’m gradually getting used to it. You’ve only got two adjustments on this monitor. I.e height and tilt. There is no rotation. Really wish it had that. I also wished it could allow a little higher height adjustment as the highest height seems not just enough for me. One thing I have to point out about the display is that its a bit too bright for me even at its lowest settings in a dark room. But all the same “better too bright than not bright enough” Those that use computers with AMD graphics cards will benefit from the Freesync feature. For video editing this does a pretty good job as I noticed that its got pretty accurate colours right out of the box. You can further calibrate it I f you wish. Thunderbolt 3 ports has been an absolute life saver as my desk is now completely free of multiple cables due to the fact that I use a single cable to connect the monitor to my Mac. That single cable carries Audio, video and data at same time while charging my Mac as well. Gaming performance was very smooth and immersive as you would expect from a monitor with a 34″ QLED panel at 3440×1440 resolution with 100Hz refresh rate. Contrast level is awesome. Black colours appear very deep. I also have to point out that there is no backlight bleed Which I’m personally happy about as I’ve had some bad experiences pertaining to that with previous monitors. In terms of overall productivity to media consumption, in my opinion this crushes through everything from video editing to web browsing, to gaming and watching movies. Another thing I have to praise the CJ79 for is its built in cable management system located behind the monitor stand. Good experience overall.

I was looking for a less costly version to the goto Apple compatible displays and don’t really need 5K, so thought I would give this monitor a try. I am pleased with the picture quality & picture performance, but unfortunately that is where it ends. The good: Picture Quality for a non-5K display is good Curved screen is much better than I had anticipated The USB hub built into the display gives me options to plug in my other Apple Devices The not so good: No Volume Control from MacOS using Thunderbolt (just crazy) Doesn’t provide ability to control any display settings from MacOS like the other manufacturer (such as brightness and volume) Joystick control is not in a very convenient to reach place and you have to use it to do anything with this monitor (another dig on the fact you can’t adjust anything via MacOS) After using this monitor for a few weeks, I have ordered the 5K display from Apple as I just really miss: Volume Control Brightness Control Automatic Dimming Built-In Camera If you use your own speakers, don’t need a camera, really don’t want to spend the money on a 5K display & don’t think you will need to adjust brightness or have MacOS automatically dim, then this could be a good monitor for you.
