With a 1500R curvature, the C34J791 34″ 21:9 Curved FreeSync VA Monitor from Samsung offers a viewing experience that envelops the viewer in their multimedia content. Flicker-free technology, AMD FreeSync support, Game Mode, and Eye Saver Mode all help to provide a healthy and enjoyable time whether you’re writing up a report, playing games, or simply kicking back and watching a movie.
This Samsung monitor features a 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, a 300 cd/m² brightness rating, a 100 Hz refresh rate, a 4 ms response time, and support for up to 16.7 million colors all designed to provide a crisp, clear picture with reduced ghosting and blur. Additionally, the C34J791 display offers 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles along with the ability to tilt the display or mount it to the wall for more comfortable viewing. Setup is simple as this monitor comes equipped with DisplayPort, HDMI, and Thunderbolt 3 inputs as well as a built-in USB 3.0 hub to connect USB compatible peripherals directly to the display. For mounting this monitor to a wall, there is a 100 x 100mm VESA mount.

I use it for work and movies I love the fact the monitor shows clearly and the sound makes you feel like your right there in the movie and working on this monitor is even better I love the fonts and making the screen bigger but not the actual words when printed touch screen is way better than a regular monitor!

I bought this monitor for gaming and WAS NOT disappointed it opens up your gaming experience in ways I didn’t think possible, it’s almost as if you’re actually there the first time I used it I thought I had on VR glasses, the colors and graphics are so vivid and pronounced you feel like your walking in an alien world expecting to trip over some piece of scrap junk and you feel like you can rest against a building and the graphics are so vivid you see things you’ve never seen that you stop to look at things that you risk being shot by opposing players, all in all I highly recommend this monitor it’s definitely 5 stars, a 10 out of 10, the only thing missing are the smells although I’m sure their engineers are working on that so until they introduce that I’ve definitely got my gaming monitor and streaming movies off it is just the same the sounds are clear, crisp and concise along with the picture.

This is an amazing screen as you get a well know branded product. also the speakers on this thing are very good for a monitor screen. but I will Highly recommend you to get this screen on a discount as personally $700 is on a high price in my opinion. I manage to get it at a discount for $550. so if you get a good discount on this bad boy. Go for it!!

I have had this monitor for nearly two weeks. Overall I love it! The picture is good, nice contrast and great response even for gaming. The size, resolution and aspect ratio combine wonderfully allowing your productivity to increase over similar 16:9 screens. There are two major negatives that I can’t get over and a couple of other small glitches as well. 1.) You switch sources between the TB3 inputs on the monitor. This is my biggest annoyance. I have a macbook pro with tb3 and a razer laptop with tb3 and there is no easy way of switching between the input sources. I have to power cycle the monitor and turn off the device that I don’t want to use. You also cannot do PIP between the two TB3 ports which well…thats annoying. 2.) Samsung made the poor decision to not have a dedicated power button. It takes 3 button presses to turn off the screen. Can’t understand the thought process here it’s really frustrating especially when I have to constantly power cycle the monitor due to the first problem I have with this monitor. One minor issue – depending on the frequency you do it – it takes a good 15-20 seconds to switch inputs Lastly the built in USB hub sometimes doesn’t power on the devices plugged in (i only have a keyboard/mouse attached). When this happens you may have to unplug and plug back in your peripherals or turn off the monitor, unplug everything, turn the monitor back on and then plug everything back in. All of these problems were identical across two different monitors, my first was exchanged due to a faulty OSD joystick controller.

Monitor is has been good for just a couple of months. Now the audio is gone. No sound at all. The monitor is not even 6 months old. Very sad that a product that costs this much money cannot last 6 months.
