With a 1500R curvature, the C34J791 34″ 21:9 Curved FreeSync VA Monitor from Samsung offers a viewing experience that envelops the viewer in their multimedia content. Flicker-free technology, AMD FreeSync support, Game Mode, and Eye Saver Mode all help to provide a healthy and enjoyable time whether you’re writing up a report, playing games, or simply kicking back and watching a movie.
This Samsung monitor features a 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, a 300 cd/m² brightness rating, a 100 Hz refresh rate, a 4 ms response time, and support for up to 16.7 million colors all designed to provide a crisp, clear picture with reduced ghosting and blur. Additionally, the C34J791 display offers 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles along with the ability to tilt the display or mount it to the wall for more comfortable viewing. Setup is simple as this monitor comes equipped with DisplayPort, HDMI, and Thunderbolt 3 inputs as well as a built-in USB 3.0 hub to connect USB compatible peripherals directly to the display. For mounting this monitor to a wall, there is a 100 x 100mm VESA mount.

An ultra wide monitor with thunderbolt ports from Samsung?? What more can you ask for! I was surprised with how huge the box was when this flagship monitor came in. I felt like I ordered a new television. The ultrawide 34″ screen makes you feel immersed as you watch movies or play games 21:9. I also love the sound quality this monitor makes. It almost felt like a surround sound system and I was amazed as how great the stock speakers were. Some specs of the CJ791 is that it has a refresh rate of 100hz, 4ms response time, 3440×1440 screen resolution, and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Although it isn’t an IPS monitor, the QLED technology covers more than 125% of the sRGB color space making it a great monitor for video editing as well. It’s a productivity monster when I used Adobe Premeire for video editing. I could fit the whole time onscreen and then some! The CJ791 also comes with AMD free sync and a game mode optimizing responsiveness and screen lag. The thunderbolt connections take the win for this monitor giving it the crown for one of the first monitors from Samsung with this connectivity. It can transmit video and data at speeds of up to 40Gbps – 8 times faster than USB 3.0 – and simultaneously charges devices (up to 85W), all over a single cable. Thanks to the Insiders for letting me test out another great product from Samsung!

If you’re waiting on a reason to get this monitor just go ahead and do it. It’s creme de la creme as far as gaming and entertainment! The only way it could be any better is if you were to do the whole VR headset thing. However seeing as I’m a PC gamer this is as good as it’ll get for me! It’s as if you’re seeing parts of your game for the first time all over again! This monitor legit has me looking forward to my relaxation game time more than ever before! If you’re looking to treat yourself or even somebody else this holiday season…. JUST DO IT

I may use it for streaming well when my kids go to bed otherwise it’s on Playstation mode smh since the boys got it I CAN’T GET THE NEIGHBORHOOD BOYS OUT MY HOUSE lol but it definitely help when I need leaves raked car wash grass cut etc they are all ready to help my outdoors never looked so groomed as long as t hey can come over and play the game and eat my famous cookies their all in and believe it or not I’m at peace upstairs…

I use my monitor for many things; homework, gaming ,and watching TV. I would say that this monitor performs all these tasks excellently. For not being a “gaming” monitor or a “super 8k” monitor. I find myself never wanting to switch back to a TV ever again.

The only feature I like is the display. The colors are awesome and makes it as if you’re right there. Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend it. You have to be sitting directly in front of the screen to get the best view.

Best monitor on the market! The CJ791 Thunderbolt 3 Ultra-Wide Screen Curved Monitor is cutting edge, equipped with the latest and greatest technology. All in sleek slim design, that if very functional and easily the most unique & stylish item in my home . The screen resolution very vivid , which makes entertainment and productivity a lot more engaging with the ultra fast graphics and performance. No matter what you are doing rather you are casually browsing the or if your professional editing photo , all tasks become more intuitive. This monitor has been amazing for school for me. Having a big monitor makes it easier to open multiple windows at once which increases my productivity. For example if I’m writing a research paper it’s much easier for me to go have my research material open as well as my word document at the same time than having to keep flipping through them. i a looking at monitors over 40 hours a week. the cj791 is my primary monitor for work and i love it. i also have a much more expensive monitor i use for gaming, but it cost twice as much for 2/3 the size. i bought this monitor for business and because it works especially well with both my windows and my mac laptops. it’s white glossy enamel back and silver base are very sleek and well designed for any dcor. it even came with a white hdmy cable!

The Samsung CJ791 is a stunning display showcasing what you can still get without the need for 4K. With a resolution of 3440 x 1440 you have an ultrawide display, perfectly suited for movies and multitasking in the 21:9 aspect ratio. The curve is a nice addition even if it just brings in the edges so you feel a little more immersed in the display than a flat screen. Contrast is amazing with the blacks looking very black, black bars almost look identical to the thin black bezel edging the display, while blacks in movies or games still look crisp, clear and well defined. There are a few issues such as portions of the display at the bottom corners are darker than the rest of the display, but this only seems to be noticeable on lighter colours full screen. I’ve not really used any apps full screen, mainly half screen due to the size and multitasking. The one thing I’ve noticed is that i tend to use the left side of the monitor so always looking at the one half of the screen for the normal day to day tasks, its not a bad thing its just something you’ll need to get used to. You’ll very rarely use Full Screen or a window in the center of the screen. Connectivity wise the monitor has a good variety of ports and the Thunderbolt USB C is brilliant for one cable for the Display, Laptop Power and to use the USB Ports on the back of the monitor. Only downside here is it could of done with a few more USB Ports (4 would of been nice) and maybe another HDMI connection. Cable management is good with the side of the stand coming off to help you hide the cables (I can fit 1 HDMI, 1 USB C, 1 Power Cable and 1 USB Cable in the cable management but wouldn’t fit any more in). Also to note the stand is quite large and sticks out about 8cm’s in front of the mid part of the monitor, not a major issue but its larger than a lot of stands (But to note its a good stand for a wireless charger or a Google Home Mini/Echo Dot using the monitors USB port). The Speakers were a welcomed surprise that i wasn’t expecting, they lack any base, but are quite loud and would be fine for day to day use, even watching you tube they are fine. Louder than a lot of monitors and some TV’s of this size too at 7 watts each (14 Watts Total). So is it worth the price tag, if you watch movies in an office/study, multitask, want a clean look, don’t need 4K and if you have a thunderbolt 3 compatible Laptop/PC then almost, a little expensive but it will come down in price gradually.
