With a 1500R curvature, the C34J791 34″ 21:9 Curved FreeSync VA Monitor from Samsung offers a viewing experience that envelops the viewer in their multimedia content. Flicker-free technology, AMD FreeSync support, Game Mode, and Eye Saver Mode all help to provide a healthy and enjoyable time whether you’re writing up a report, playing games, or simply kicking back and watching a movie.
This Samsung monitor features a 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, a 300 cd/m² brightness rating, a 100 Hz refresh rate, a 4 ms response time, and support for up to 16.7 million colors all designed to provide a crisp, clear picture with reduced ghosting and blur. Additionally, the C34J791 display offers 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles along with the ability to tilt the display or mount it to the wall for more comfortable viewing. Setup is simple as this monitor comes equipped with DisplayPort, HDMI, and Thunderbolt 3 inputs as well as a built-in USB 3.0 hub to connect USB compatible peripherals directly to the display. For mounting this monitor to a wall, there is a 100 x 100mm VESA mount.

I have had this monitor for 2 weeks now and it is amazing. First, it is like having two monitors in one but it takes up very little desktop space. The curved screen is ideal for this set up, a similar effect to having two monitors with each one angled toward the viewer. Second, the picture is amazing – I have never had a high-quality picture for a computer monitor since I use it mostly for work but the 4k definitely is easier on the eyes. My kids have even watched some movies on it and love it! Third, and probably the most amazing feature is the Thunderbolt connection. This means no docking station is required. My keyboard and mouse dongle and USB hub is plugged into the back of the monitor. Just one cable connected to my laptop and the monitor and it functions without a dock. It charges the laptop too. This makes it such a clean setup. I love this monitor and now thinking about getting one for my wife’s office!

I’ve been using this for 4 weeks now as my main monitor at home, using it for 3 primary reasons: gaming, work and photo editing. It replaces 2 1080p monitors. I now have one of those as my second monitor with this Samsung as my main monitor. Gaming: wow, what a difference! With the monitor sitting a short distance from me, games feel like they are wrapping around me. Due to my slightly ageing PC, I can only run the latest games at 2K rather than the close to 4K the monitor is designed for but this is still a substantial upgrade from my old 1080P monitors. So much more detail and the colours are vivid. No visible blurring or slow down either and response time seems to be excellent. Work: so using apps like PowerPoint, I can place two apps side by side, essentially giving me 3 monitors with my existing second monitor. Some handy included software allows you to split the screen in two (or more if required) and ‘snap’ apps into various configurations. Working on multiple documents is a breeze on this monitor! The PBP (Picture-by-Picture) mode of the monitor gives you the ability to connect two sources to the monitor which appear side-by-side which is great for plugging in my work laptop along with my home PC. I assume this would also work for game consoles, but I’ve not yet tried this. Some apps don’t play nicely with the massive wide nature of the monitor and seem a little lost when not splitting the screen, but I guess apps will get updated over time to use the increased resolution and screen real-estate. Photo editing: Increased detail and accurate colours really help when editing my photos! The difference in colour reproduction is night and day compared to my old monitors. Other points to note are that the built in speakers function OK, but aren’t as good as my 90 desk speakers so don’t expect amazing quality/loudness for gaming or music playing. The monitor looks stunning. Nice simple sleek design with a beautiful curved screen. Cable management is good with enough ports to connect anything you can think of. Setup was very easy and I had no issues getting it setup. Would I recommend it? Yes, if price is no issue. But, its an expensive beast and I think if I were to do buy again, I’d have gone for the larger version, especially if you are trying to replace 2-3 monitors for work apps. The 34″ size split into two is just OK but two large single monitors may be better. But, for me as a single app/gaming monitor, I love it!

I always wanted an ultra wide monitor and this is the best purchase I’ve ever made. It’s WQHD resolution helps me do multitasking. I am a software developer and benefit a lot from having multiple screens open simultaneously. I can easily open 4 windows on this. It reduces strain on my eyes the colors are crisp. Take that information with grain of salt as I don’t work in multimedia but it’s good emough for my purpose. This monitor also has two type C ports, one of which can spit out 85W which I use to charge my laptop and said goodbye to the charger. The second type C port can output 15W, which can charge your smartphone. It also has HDMI and USB-A port. Cherry on top is this monitor also has a built in speaker and is loud enough so that I can take my meetings on it. All in all a great purchase. Very happy with it.

i I use this product as my work screen and it’s one of the best screens I’ve ever used very sharp I can put up multiple screens eliminate me having to use the loud neck turns when I had 33 screens up at 1 time this is 1 of the best products and I would highly recommend getting 1 if you can

Very pleased with this monitor… it paired easily with my m1 MacBook Pro via thunderbolt and came with appropriate cable to charge my laptop. Picture is sharp and clean and very responsive, multi usb inputs also provide a hub for other devices…

i had this monitor for about a month when it’s display port stopped working. the hdmi still works. i contacted support and sent it in for repair. when i got it back, the display port works but it now does not power my laptop. that is one of the reasons i purchased it. it also will flash briefly, a microsecond or so. i read somewhere that this is a known issue and to get a sine wave ups. i did and it still flickers. i’m don’t think i would purchaes another.
