With a 1500R curvature, the C34J791 34″ 21:9 Curved FreeSync VA Monitor from Samsung offers a viewing experience that envelops the viewer in their multimedia content. Flicker-free technology, AMD FreeSync support, Game Mode, and Eye Saver Mode all help to provide a healthy and enjoyable time whether you’re writing up a report, playing games, or simply kicking back and watching a movie.
This Samsung monitor features a 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, a 300 cd/m² brightness rating, a 100 Hz refresh rate, a 4 ms response time, and support for up to 16.7 million colors all designed to provide a crisp, clear picture with reduced ghosting and blur. Additionally, the C34J791 display offers 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles along with the ability to tilt the display or mount it to the wall for more comfortable viewing. Setup is simple as this monitor comes equipped with DisplayPort, HDMI, and Thunderbolt 3 inputs as well as a built-in USB 3.0 hub to connect USB compatible peripherals directly to the display. For mounting this monitor to a wall, there is a 100 x 100mm VESA mount.

Hi — I bought this monitor because I love big screens but the connection with my MAC doesn’t work properly. It constantly flickers and I have to take out the back panel to wedge it in the port . It still doesn’t work. And the back panel is very difficult to put back on . So I wouldn’t recommend this product . I don’t know what to do to fix this anymore?

Just as many other reviewed. This monitor has very poor workmanship. The monitor came with panel detached from the bezel on the top. The LED light shines through the gap directly. There are also a few dead pixels here and there. I like the features it provides, especially the thunderbolt 3 interface. However, it failed in a very important aspect, the quality. Will have to return it. Buyer beware!

I bought my monitor since we started to work from home due to the pandemic. I am a software engineer, so having a lot of real state was the main argument to purchase it. I have it connected to my work laptop via HDMI and my personal laptop via Thunderbolt 3 connector. So it is very practical to switch from one to another. The HDMI connection is very reliable, I have had almost no issues with it. However, the Thunderbolt 3 connection is not as reliable. I have had to physically disconnect the cable from the back of the monitor some times for my laptop to get recognized again because doing it from the end to the laptop did not work. I am using the provided USB Thunderbolt 3 cable for this connection so I don’t think the cable is the issue. Other than that, the brightness is great, the resolution is also awesome, the colors are vivid. I also like that it has built-in speakers and I did not expect them to have a nice quality sound, but they are enough for my needs. I play music while working and sometimes use them during conversations in video chats although I use my headset most of the times for that. However, improving the sound quality also would be great. I think adding a built-in video camera would be the cherry on the top (literally), but it has to be an HD camera, because the monitor itself is very pricey and the video camera has to be as good as that. In summary, I am very happy with my monitor because of how wide it is and how nice the resolution of the images are.

I have it hooked up via Thunderbolt 4 to an LG Gram17 laptop. Seems that initial connection of the day is most stable if you let the laptop fully boot up before turning on the monitor. Smooth sailing after that for the rest of the day. Picture is clear and stable right out of the box. Using it for home office, no gaming, the curve is just enough to add benefit without distortion. Wish they made a smaller (28 or 30) version in black, please. Would buy again.

I use my Samsung curved monitor for photography post production, for various work and life tasks that require multiple windows at once. This one beautiful screen replaced two 24 inches screens mounted on a shared stand that was unstable and clunky (and ruined my Feng shui). I like the sleek aesthetics of this screen. It fits well on my smallish desk. The resolution is stunning and has a fast refresh rate. It accommodates Thunderbolt, display port, DC24V, and HDMI inputs. It has USB and a headphone jack ports, although the location of these on the rear is not ideal. It is somewhat adjustable altho improvements could be made there too. Highly recommended. Life is short…be fabulous!

Intuitive to set up, split screen to two views. Including my laptop I am able to work with 3 screens. Speakers are of good quality and screen overall looks really nice. I am a Samsung fan due to the quality of their products. This one is top notch too.
