The Samsung CRG5 27″ 16:9 240 Hz Curved G-SYNC VA Gaming Monitor is packed with many helpful gaming features to provide users with a satisfying experience. These include things like NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, a fast 240 Hz refresh rate, and a 1500R curved screen that places you right in the middle of the action. Specs-wise, it’s built with a VA (Vertical Alignment) panel with a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 3000:1 static contrast ratio, a 300 cd/m² brightness rating, and support for up to 16.7 million colors. Once it’s connected to your system via HDMI or DisplayPort, you can adjust its Picture Mode for an optimized viewing experience with your preferred game genre. Additionally, there is a USB port for upgrading the monitor’s software.

This monitor has it all, 144Hz, hardly any ghosting, comfortable ports, a non-hideous curve. The only think it is missing is a VESA mount. Other than that, this monitor is 100% worth it!

this samsung monitor is a joke. stay away. they’re trying to dump them. after 60 days, this went bad out of buying 4! new. screen went yellow and they tried to fix it. takes a month. still not fixed. they’re customer service is another joke. they want you to waste more time trying to get it repaired a second time before they replace it. the repair facility in new jersey is another joke. they will waste your time and sell you garbage.

Ghosting has been a huge issue which I – only just now – solved. The solve? Turn off G-Sync. The problem may be caused by using a AMD video card that is just old enough to not have drivers that are able to use the (now) open source encoding for G-Sync. While the colors are fantastic (purple is the best example of rich color on this display), the refresh rate makes great use of my high end video card, and the curve is set to the exact distance for optimal viewing, and the contrast is sharp as a knife, the ghosting was so bad while gaming and watching movies the monitor was nearly unusable for anything that has high contrast smooth motion. Scrolling on web pages showed little to no signs of ghosting at all. But, motion in gaming was deeply “haunted”.

I have the 24″ CRG5 Gaming Monitor and absolutely love the vivid colors I get while gaming. The size is great for the size space I have plus, it’s great for someone who doesn’t exactly see very well. In my opinion, this was the perfect monitor for me to do all of my gaming on and I’m sure I’ll use it for other things too.

This monitor is great. I absolutely love the high refresh rate and would recommend this as a cheap way to get a quality monitor. However, I would not call this a “gaming monitor”. It has a VA panel which causes some minor streaking and some major streaking (with Adaptive Sync enabled) while playing games. Also notable: I tried mounting it with a VESA monitor stand (the included stand didn’t fit on my desk), but it did not work. I had to bend the monitor arm’s mount in order to get the screws to go in. I do not know if this was the monitor’s fault or the arm’s fault however. Overall this is a great monitor! Just don’t expect to get more than what you pay for compared to higher end monitors.
