the cable management system & provided cables really aren’t up to par. you have to bend the cables 180 degrees, pinch them between a clip & the monitor body, impinging the vertical height adjustment & the monitor tilt movement. the cable clip isnt adequate to accommodate the full array of input cables adding an additional hdmi cable overwhelms the clip. after managing, cables extend approx 70cm & 80cm from the base of the stand on a monitor with a 70cm wingaspan, i’m not sure where the source is expected to be. placing a laptop beside the monitor the cables wont reach the opposite side. i also have to add the usb ports are hidden behind the backing plate making them practically unreachable, i’m not sure why anyone would see a value in placing them there.

the monitor is beautiful and well made but there are significant issues with the firmware which results in windows not being able to detect it which means the refresh rate is capped at 144mhz.

i purchased two 32″ g7 monitors and mounted these bad boys to a desktop stand. they looked killer and made games absolutely stunning. i had no issues with flickering as some have mentioned, but i mostly tested it them out in fortnite. the curvature was adjustable after playing for a bit. however, when trying to view web pages or edit videos, i found the aggressive curve overwhelming. i dimmed the screen and moved farther away, but the discomfort persisted. i ended up returning both monitors and switching to a single ultrawide gaming monitor with a modest curve, and it works better for my old eyes. so, for my fellow middle-agers who also have productivity tasks as well as gaming, i advise seeing this monitor in person before buying.

Went with the curved screen for the first time and the largest curve. Love it. there is a flicker I see sometimes but the screen is amazing.

I thought the curve was going to be annoying but it actually works perfect for me, reflecting less glare than a flat panel. The gsync compatibility is flawless and the color accuracy matches my IPS monitor.

the only complaint i have is the shipping took a while, but that is understandable with covid. the support team helped get me tracking and i was happy. i would recommend this monitor. i am using a 2080 ti and everything looks wonderful. my kd has gone up, sniping in warzone is easy, and my overall wins have increased. if you are on an old tv with an xbox or on an old monitor— you deserve this… buy it.

i love the monitor. tt’s very fast, clear and bright! the only thing i would change on it is when shutting down w10 the monitor continues to blink blue. very irritating when i turn off my computer. you have to use the toggle and hit the power off just right as windows is shutting down, otherwise it will blink blue. i’m sure they could fix this with a firmware update if the wanted to, please do. otherwise i love the monitor.

It looks good. Fast! Nice contrast. Issue with my gpu driver crashing; possibly related to monitor but unsure at this point. Got a good price too!

Odyssey G7 Monitor just about every day! I use it for school and gaming! The large display is optimal for split screen for school programs and the refresh rate is amazing for gaming. Truly an amazing monitor!

I use this monitor for gaming, and more. I love it. Any negative reviews I seen must be haters, they must have messed up the monitor there selves then blaming the product. Worth every penny. I would buy again.

nice monitor, but not for me. i purchased two of these for my desk. i liked them a lot. i liked the curve, as i had the monitors side by side. i thought that everything was fine with the exception of the way the text looked. no matter what settings i used the text looked fuzzy and appeared to have a halo, or glow about it. it was not horrible, but bad enough for me as it gave me a bit of a head ache after a while. i did not purchase these for gaming, rather they were for work and multimedia uses. if the text quality was just a little bit better it would have probably worked for me.

got mine repaired already, and i appreciate the service, if only samsung products can hold its own, like it would withstand age. but no, like mt tv, it can only survive for such a short time. i love samsung products. but its lacking reciliency.

My first of 2 G7s (32 240hz) I didn’t review, this one I will. 4 stars for the product because the first one had display port 1 (out of no where) decided it would stretch the entire display, which is apparently a random occurance with these. (Not purchased from B&H) This second one so far works just fine. No further issues from my first screen and none so far with this second one.

I primarily use my monitor for gaming and watching videos. The curve is surprisingly nice to be in front of, but is limiting if I wanted to have three of them do to the extreme curve. The colors are nice, but could use a little bit better accuracy. My main problem with the monitor is the quality control of the panel. I bought mine brand new and it came with two dead pixels.

what are you doing samsung? it’s like you’re beating around the bush. just make the same g7 monitor 27″ qhd and 32 4k, but don’t curve it! we beg you, and then sales will skyrocket. i have this one 27 inch. this is the best image quality and matrix speed, but the curvature spoils everything and drives away potential buyers!

This monitor has served me well as a pc monitor for some time. Very fast for competitive titles and smooth for all other games. After ps5 has been updated to accept 1440p its been a dream to not have to upgrade just yet. Picture quality looks great once you have your settings dialed in.

displayport2 does not work on the monitor. i have tried everything to get it to work. this was a big disappointment and i will never buy another samsung product again. i have bought three monitors from samsung, a phone, tv, and now this experience will make me never want to buy another thing from you guys again.

I am impressed with this monitor. I use it for gaming mainly from my PS5. The quality is great when playing with 4K games. There is no tearing when playing on 120hz and it is the first time I have played 120hz on a console and its feels better than PC because I can play in 4K without losing FPS. It also has HDMI 2.1 support which is great because it supports the ps5 120hz gameplay.
