With the Samsung LS27AM500NNXZA 27″ 16:9 Smart FHD HDR VA Monitor, you have the power to be productive and entertained at a distance without having to connect a computer. Like a smart TV, this 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution monitor has built-in speakers and can independently run apps such as Microsoft Office 365 in addition to Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming entertainment services. This allows you to quickly switch from being productive to watching immersive entertainment at a distance using the included remote control. Use the Wireless DeX utility to stream apps and content such as photos and videos from your phone to the monitor without having to connect additional cables or turn on the computer. The LS27AM500NNXZA has built-in Bluetooth for connecting wireless peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and more. With its integrated sensors, the screen automatically adjusts its brightness to match the ambient light. Switching the screen to Ultrawide Game View mode allows you to see more detail in supported games using a 21:9 aspect ratio.

I am absolutely shocked by how well this monitor is made and it’s capability to actually give you the best out of it. It’s really easy to set up and you can easily connect your galaxy device to it and you basically have a PC how great Is that you can also do anything on it from playing video games to school work. I would highly recommend this monitor.

I purchased this monitor for my work. The best part I like is to connect my laptop is with one Click on “Connect” button. Absolutely flawless in being wireless. It sticks around and I haven’t seen any disconnection happing while I’m in action. Picture clarity is great, so also the sound quality. Absolutely love this monitor, truly Smart Monitor.

setup was a little tricky. took several tries before it recognized my samsung account as well as wifi connection. resolution is still a little something to be desired. but after the initial 24hrs of use and really digging in and changing some things around, its much better. needs a ethernet connection in my opinion, only wifi isn’t the best option for me. limited apps selection. using my samsung phone to connect was really cool. only other thing that might be helpful is when using as a second screen, when shutting down computer, you must have the remote close to turn it off. but overall i do like it, now i have a 27″ to match my 27″ aio

This is a great product; however, if you also own a smart tv in the same room, it’s difficult to get the controller not to manage and work both. For example, if I turn off my tv, my monitor shuts off and vice versa. I have been trying to find out how to fix this. Otherwise, great and wonderful to use. I really like it.

My Samsung M5 Monitor arrived very well packed and ready to go. Physical setup took about 5 minutes and it looked great on my desk when done. Having come from an older 27 inch monitor with a thicker bezel the M5 wasn’t much larger to the edges but the image was huge. The thin bezel and clean lines are a refreshing change. The remote is intuitive and clean, I haven’t used the voice control on the remote yet but am sure it will be great. After setup there are a few steps to get everything going, but they are intuitive. The image is crystal clear and brightness is great. Having the ability to add apps and use it as a streaming device has been a welcome addition. Sitting in my office on a break from work and watching Netflix is a guilty pleasure. DEX has always been a cool feature on Samsung phones and the addition on wireless is a nice natural progression. The connection is a bit spotty but seems to always work after a few tries. Overall price to quality is near perfect.

the monitor is great as a standard monitor, and i am sure you re here for the smart aspect. pros: 1. it has an active auto switch, hat means the monitor automatically switches to an active input source. 2. the remote is so useful and it will become part of your daily life real quick. surprisingly, bixby on the remote is better than on my galaxy s10. 3. the speakers are actually pretty good and get really loud while retaining decent clarity. cons: 1. tap to view is kinda gimmicky. i mean most people will just use the in-app cast button anyway 2. needed a better refresh rate. 3. microsoft office doesn’t work. there was no way to even launch it.

My 27″ M5 Smart Monitor arrived well packaged, easy to unboxed, and in perfect condition. Set-up was simple with HDMI cables. The monitor came with one HDMI cable. The stand was easy to install. The design of the monitor is streamlined and it has a clear and the display is a lovely matte finish. I’ve been using the monitor with both a Mac and a Windows laptop and I see no difference in function. Works faultlessly as a monitor. I’ve also streamed music and video from my iPhone via Airplay easily. I am very pleased with the sound quality as well. As a computer monitor, I couldn’t be happier. However, as an entertainment device, the lack of 4K is somewhat disappointing. The monitor’s picture is still very nice but had the M5 been 4K it could truly be a TV replacement for me. As a minimalist, I look for multi-purpose products but the M7 32 inch monitor was too big for my space. That is something to consider if 4K is important to you long term. I had no problems using Netflix, Prime, Hulu, HBOMax, YouTube, etc. Downloading apps was simple and straightforward. The interface is generally the same as my Samsung TV. I really love the remote control! It is really well made, feels solid, and the buttons work well. Very pleased there. My only major issue is that the included documentation was far too sparse. I had rot download the user manual but that still doesn’t cover everything, I am very tech savvy so I rarely have to consult manuals. More features were intuitive but I did have to hunt around for some answers. Just be aware of that. The TV features were easy to figure out probably due to my familiarity with Samsung TVs. I hope that Samsung can improve the documentation that would allow users to easily take advantage of all of the “smart” features. Maybe some of the features are only available with a Samsung phone or tablet so that should be more transparent. Also, the Office 365 feature is “Ok” – I was hoping for a better interface but its basically connecting to Microsoft via the Samsung web browser. Chances are that if I am at my monitor, my laptop and Microsoft Office is available so I may not use this feature. It really is a beautiful monitor.

To start, I wanted the features of the M7, especially he USB-C port but not it’s size. I settled on the 27″ M5 and I can live with the lower resolution, especially because I’m not using this to edit video or primarily stream video. I do however like the ability to stream from all my favorite streaming apps and the familiarity of the interface as I have all Samsung tvs in my house. I won’t waste time getting into the streaming apps, that works exactly as it does on modern Samsung tvs. I will start with the unique built in features like Remote Desktop and Office 365. Remote Desktop is a great function to have built in, however I am unable to use it because my company uses a VPN in conjunction with Remote Desktop. Office 365 on the other hand is a great feature to have built in for those that need to be able to work from home from time to time and not have to connect a PC or laptop to this and want to mainly use this as an extra tv for streaming. Connect a bluetooth mouse and keyboard and login into your Office 365 account and you’ll be able to work remotely in OUtlook, Word, Excel, etc and all your files stored in OneDrive. My only complaint regarding this feature is that finding isn’t easy. It is a bit buried in the Remote Access area, when I think it should have its own shortcut. I have used the M5 with both my 2019MacBook Air and iPad Air 3. I primarily connect to the monitor via both HDMI to USB C/Thunderbolt 3 adapter and Airplay with my MacBook Air. The picture is fuzzy/blurry when connecting via Airplay and mirroring vs. extended display but I think this is due to the Mac’s native resolution. Where this monitor really shined for me is when I used my old Thunderbolt display as my main connected display and used the M5 as a secondary display via Airplay. This was extremely benificial due to the limitation of only two USB C ports on the Air. Overall, I love this monitor. The sound it puts out is excellent. As with most Samsung monitors and TVs it’s built extremely well and is very pleasant to look at. I don’t have many issues with it. I will say, even though the M5 is the lowest price point, it still deserves and needs USB-C to connect with modern laptops. Also, don’t lose the remote as the buttons for power and volume are hard to find under the Samsung logo.

The Samsung 27″ M5 FHD Smart Monitor is great addition to any office environment. I use it as a third monitor for work purposes. I also use it to stream shows, movies, videos while using my personal PC. The LED picture is great at 1080p. I can’t wait to try the remote access option when I upgrade my laptop. You can still connect your PC wirelessly also. The monitor has great apps to stream from. Also with two HDMI you can connect multiple devices. I love the remote. Easy access buttons with voice search also. Overall a great monitor.

I work remotely and have other obligations outside of work. I love how easily I can transition from work PC to my personal PC and still have two monitors. I connect with one tap. The streaming content is awesome. I honestly did not realize that I would have access to the streaming content in this way. The color and resolution are great for my eyes. I am well pleased with my purchase.

Wow, after working from home for over a year and trying to use dual monitors to display my data, this new Samsung M5 32″ monitor has worked out great so far. I was able to connect to the monitor with both HDMI and through the “Connect” option on my Windows Tablet. The larger screen has been nice to display all of my work. When using it in this mode, the only issue was that my mouse movements weren’t that fine. It took a little effort to be able to click on certain items on the monitor. The next benefit of this monitor is that I can connect my iPad to it using the Apple Air Play option. I viewed my pictures as a slide show. The resolution was good but it had a couple pauses in the background music as it played over the pictures. Finally, the monitor is a Smart TV. This is great. After working, I can bring up various streaming options and watch content or even surf the web. The resolution while doing this is quite nice. Overall, this is a good option to replace a second monitor or just have a monitor that can be both a second screen and a Smart Streaming TV.
