With the Samsung LS32AM500NNXZA 31.5″ 16:9 Smart FHD HDR VA Monitor, you have the power to be productive and entertained at a distance without having to connect a computer. Like a smart TV, this 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution monitor has built-in speakers and can independently run apps such as Microsoft Office 365 in addition to Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming entertainment services. This allows you to quickly switch from being productive to watching immersive entertainment at a distance using the included remote control. Use the Wireless DeX utility to stream apps and content such as photos and videos from your phone to the monitor without having to connect additional cables or turn on the computer. The LS32AM500NNXZA has built-in Bluetooth for connecting wireless peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and more. With its integrated sensors, the screen automatically adjusts its brightness to match the ambient light. Switching the screen to Ultrawide Game View mode allows you to see more detail in supported games using a 21:9 aspect ratio.

i really wanted to like this monitor. on paper, this is the ideal monitor for what i need. it offers a great price, size, airplay2 functionality, and native apps for streaming services. the overwhelming issue is that doing anything at all is painstakingly slow! i mean, really slow! having to setup the monitor for optimal use with my daughter’s laptop was infuriating! anytime you need to access the menu for any reason or use an app, you almost certainly will select the wrong tab or setting because it will appear as if the directional button was either not recognized or was so bogged down it was unable to process any command entered (which does happen). after a lengthy pause of inactivity, every additional command will process at once.

i am impressed at how easy it was to set up right out of the box. just hook up the power and the hdmi cord straight to my computer. i like that it has streaming capabilities and wireless set up, as well as the remote. i also like that i can connect to smart things and control from phone. room for improvement: adjustable stand. i find it odd that it doesn’t have an adjustable stand. not a deal breaker but definitely a perk if they had included the feature.

This monitor is very versatile. It is bigger than I thought it would be which is definitely a plus. This makes working and using it as a television a lot easier. The screen is wide enough for it to be used as a Tv so you can watch your favourite shows. I also like the remote controller that it came with. The netflix button is extremely helpful and convenient. With a touch of a button, you can already be in the app to watch your favourite shows. It is also very high resolution and picture quality is very vivid. As a computer monitor, I appreciate it having MS word installed already. overall nice specs and very versatile.

I was a bit Leary after reading other reviews but I love my monitor. I have it hooked up to my Mac, which did take a few tries but once connected no issues. I will sadly admit it did fall off my table, approximately 36″, and I did crack the bottom of the frame but it did NOT affect the quality of the screen at all. I was scared I messed it up. Recently I got rid of my big tv and used this temporarily as a mart tv. That was nice. It’s not really meant to be used as a smart tv alone though because with the remote you can’t adjust the volume, that was the only downfall of using it as a tv. I got this because it gave me the option to use it as a smart tv but most importantly as a second monitor working at home during COVID. I am extremely satisfied, especially since I didn’t mess it up after it dropped. My heart sank as I thought it was going to be a goner, but it was not. Very durable, don’t drop it on purpose though. Versatile like it says, except for volume as a tv. Definitely recommend if you want to be able to use it when going back to work. I plan on using it as a smart tv in my bedroom once I return to work.

Since cutting the cable boxes in my house, I had to use the spectrum app to stream. Samsung unfortunately doesn’t make TVs smaller than 32, so I had to get creative on the tv in the kitchen, this monitor did the trick. I’m able to hardwire a laptop or a gaming console down the road to repurpose it if I never need to

The M5 Monitor is a great addition to your home studio or office. It’s like having a smart TV and computer monitor at your fingertips. Unboxing was easy and exciting. It felt like I was unboxing entertainment, rather than work! The only thing that didn’t work was Bixby. The picture is amazing and even allows for a phone picture that doesn’t look wavy! It is one more product added to our Samsung House that we love! The sound quality is great and sounds even better than the stand alone speakers. The graphics on this monitor is absolutely beautiful and is quite comparable to our QLED television.

My Samsung M5 Monitor arrived very well packed and ready to go. Physical setup took about 5 minutes and it looked great on my desk when done. Having come from an older 27 inch monitor with a thicker bezel the M5 wasn’t much larger to the edges but the image was huge. The thin bezel and clean lines are a refreshing change. The remote is intuitive and clean, I haven’t used the voice control on the remote yet but am sure it will be great. After setup there are a few steps to get everything going, but they are intuitive. The image is crystal clear and brightness is great. Having the ability to add apps and use it as a streaming device has been a welcome addition. Sitting in my office on a break from work and watching Netflix is a guilty pleasure. DEX has always been a cool feature on Samsung phones and the addition on wireless is a nice natural progression. The connection is a bit spotty but seems to always work after a few tries. Overall price to quality is near perfect.

this is an okay monitor, but is missing something that i think is critical- there is no way to do a wired audio out connection. you can use bluetooth for the native apps but are out of luck if you prefer a wired connection. the monitor is otherwise okay…wireless dex is laggy and almost unusable, the display is tft so everything looks really muted coming from all ips displays. i really was not impressed with this.

I have been using a laptop to work from home due to the pandemic. In the office I had dual monitors so going to a small laptop was very hard to get used to. I am glad I got selected to test this 32″ Samsung monitor. I do a lot of spatial analysis and the image quality this monitor is amazing! Now I am able to see multiple applications without minimizing. My daughter was so impressed that she used it a few times to do homework as well and now is asking if she can have one for herself. I have used this as a television as well as it has the ability to download apps and avoids buying a streaming device. I will definitely be purchasing additional monitors, one for my daughter and another one for my self (my own Fathers Day gift) to have dual monitors. Overall this is a great monitor.
