I got this T7 to replace an older HD hard drive with rotating disks because I feel more secure with a solid state product. Only time will tell. I hope it performs well for a long time to earn those 5 stars.

Reliable and fast.

I love this Drive. Editing 4K footage? Throw this on there and watch as your past traumas disappear. Expensive but if you see it on sale, buy 2.

I bought 2 of these drive for a project about 3 weeks ago. Fast, reliable. Great drive!

Super fast. I love the form factor and the fact that it comes with both USB-A and USB-C cables!

I own a SAMSUNG T5 1TB drive as well. Both are perfect – perfect size – small. Perfect weight – very light. Perfect performance – no real heat issues, no moving parts. Two connect cords for each. It does exactly what it is supposed to do and I got it on sale!

Bought this for external storage for the Playstation 5. Works great. Easy to use. No issues.

Using it to back up Lightroom Cat. No issue so far. This drive does get warm when in use but then is cool when idle & laptop battery life is fine. Much better than my 1tb Sandisk ssd which is hot all the time when plugged in & quickly kills my laptop batt.

The drive has a very small size and very easy to put everywhere. The transit speed is very fast. But the app is not good to use. It could not detect the drive connection. It always shows drive is not connected but it did.

These are now my go to drives. SSDs are super fast, and Samsung is very reliable. This has changed my workflow, and I continue to invest in more of these drives.

Great for run & gun projects when you need a portable, sturdy drive

I am constantly amazed how small large capacity drives are getting. It’s nice that the larger capacity SSD’s are coming down in price. We are using this as a work drive to record and edit a 1 hour virtual church service. It’s plenty fast enough.
Garnett Langworth (verified owner) –
Extremely fast and reliable. Captured 5 ISOs, 2 audio feeds and a compiled shoot and never missed a beat. Over 400 gig was recorded to the drive in a few hours and it never balked once.

bought it online with samsung and this one is lightning fast. I uploaded 2 files each one was 4go and I couldnt believe how fast it was, like few second. Definitely the best ssd for me

The numbers don’t lie: this drive is very fast. And tiny! I do a lot of video editing across multiple machines and it was hard to keep files in sync, copying them back and forth from slow external drives to the fast internal SSDs. Now I can store all the raw video on this T7 drive and directly use it in Premiere Pro. Well worth the money.
Timothy Cruickshank (verified owner) –
Fast and small. I like taking these on trips. I have used this hard drive before and have had no problem. I highly recommend this device. Also, I got it at a great price.

I use this for my cam and it holds up really great

I am the owner of many Samsung T5 SSDs that I purchased for my Blackmagic 6K camera. I found that I was using them as drives for editing off of and traveling with. I was always a G-Technology Workflow EV series user but they can be bulky to travel with. Don’t get me wrong, I love the GT EV hard drives, however, when it comes to fast, reliable drives for travel and recording, nothing comes close to the Samsung T series. The T7 is slightly longer and thiner than its predecessor T5 version. Besides that, it has all the same features. I have not really noticed a performance boost with the T7, however, that could possibly be due to my computer. Overall, I think this is a great drive for creatives who are on the go.
