B&H provides quick and easy ordering, and fast, free delivery. Never having used an external SSD before, I didn’t know what to expect for set up. Just plug it in and the computer recognizes it as a new drive. Software included on the device allows you to password protect the drive; this drivers must be installed on each machine on which you plan to use the SSD. I’m impressed with this product, and a friend already saw it and ordered one for himself. I can’t speak for the ruggedness, as I’m using it for periodic backups on a desktop PC, but it works great for that purpose.

Been using it every single day since I bought it. Very trustable, super portable and an overall great product!

I use this to store HD music files. It plugged in to a standard USB 3.0 port and works perfectly. It’s holds a lot of music and it’s very inconspicuous (not that that’s very important). On my system, a playlist appears on my TV and I can readily cycle through selections by album, shuffle play or on an alpha basis. Love it!

Transfers large files at a decent speed. Gets very warm but not what I would call hot. I transferred 4Gb of video files without issue. Working on video editing on Mac mini M1. R/W speeds of around 750/800. So far, so good.

It is a no brainer now – the T5 was already good, but for only a marginally higher price, you now get the T7, which is MUCH faster. It’s slightly bigger, but not too bad. It’s great that they made these in different colors instead of all black.

I purchased this ssd because I got tired of my sandisk device unreliability, requiring re-formatting every few months. So far the Samaung T7 has worked as expected. I measured read/write speeds close to 800MB/s.

Worked amazing for expanding my PS5 storage and takes up little to no room. Very competitive price as well. Would definitely recommend.

The Samsung T7 was the perfect fit for my PC & Gaming console. Design: The T7 that I tested is the 2TB model. It is packed into a small metal body that is not much bigger than a standard USB flash drive in length and thickness. It has one USB-C port and feels very solidly built. It feels like it can take a lot of knocking around without suffering any ill effects. Ease of Use: The T7 is plug and play with my computer and PS4 console, just use the included cables for USB-C or USB 3.0 connection and you need do nothing more. No driver needed to be installed or downloaded for it to work on my Windows PC or PS4 console. It is very easy to use. PC Performance: I connected the T7 to my PC via the included USB-C cable and the drive was detected instantly on my Windows 10 computer. It came with a program on the drive that you can install to get firmware updates along with other management tools such as password protection and so on. I tested the speed by moving files of all sizes around and even GBs of file instantly from my internal SSD to this drive. It feels like you are working with an internal SSD or NVME which is amazing for an external drive. This is a great addition to any computer whether you need it to expand your storage, or maybe play games from it or to transfer files between machines as well. PS4 Performance: I connected the T7 to my PS4 via the included USB-C to USB-A cable and once and it was detected instantly. The PS4 told me I had to format the drive in order to use it on there. It takes only one press on the controller and a few moments later it was now a part of the PS4 and called “extended storage.” After that all new games you install will be installed on the T7 and you can move games from your internal drive to the SSD as well. I tested speed by first loading a game from the internal PS4 drive and then moved the game over to the T7 and loaded the game up and it booted up much quicker from the T7. So this is a great expansion to your console storage capacity and also boost performance of your games greatly when used in conjunction with a video game console. Conclusion: I see this SSD drive as the perfect expansion to any computer or gaming console. You get a huge boost in capacity with the 2TB version combined with speeds that feel like you are using an internal high speed SSD device. You cannot ask for more form an external hard drive right now. It is small in size, but big in capacity and performance.

I bought this for my blackmagic, it did not work as expected. At the third recording it stopped working with blackmagic. This is not 100% reliable.

These have become my SSD drive of choice for my set up. Very fast for music production. Solid build. I do not typically carry these back and forth, but would not have any reservations about doing so.

Great SSD’s. I like the mixed colors for easy identification of my drives. Fast, compact. large storage at good price

It arrived quickly because I live in the NJ/NY area. The SSD is very compact and fast. Much faster than most USB-based alternatives. It was convenient that it doesn’t need an external power supply beyond what the USB-C provides. Unfortunately it doesn’t have an adapter that would plug it right in to the computer, but the provided USB-C cable worked fine. Alas… my goal was to boot Ubuntu from USB SSD. I did eventually make that work, but the process is too clunky, causing me to almost lose my Win10 partition, so I’ve retired this SSD.

I’m using the 1TB T7 to back up my MacBook Pro. This drive is small and fast! Is it twice as fast as the T5 that I replaced it with? Not really sure but it did take close to an hour off the time to copy almost 100GB of data (used as NAS by plugging it into my router). I give it a big thumbs up!
