The Samsung 2TB T7 Portable SSD is a compact and secure storage solution that fits in the palm of your hand. Roughly the size of a few stacked credit cards, the T7 is equipped with 256-bit AES encryption and password protection, so users can rest assured knowing their data is safe. Moreover, with PCIe NVMe technology, the T7 offers users quick performance and little downtime with read and write speeds of up to 1050 MB/s and 1000 MB/s respectively. With a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, it’s also backward compatible with USB 3.0 and Type-A devices with an appropriate cable. The T7 comes with embedded management software, which helps you set up a password and get firmware updates. The software works with Windows and Mac computers and is compatible with Windows 7 and higher, Mac OS X 10.10 and higher, or Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and higher.

I’ve wondered a long time when SSDs with larger capacities would come. I bought the 1T really to see how it would work, and its quite amazingly fast in writes. I’ve had a history of external hard drives ceasing to function and Im very hopeful that an SSD will last a longer time. In the past, anytime I’ve purchased a HD to back up existing files, I would get another one to back up the one that will eventually die. I am so hopeful this will not be the case again.

I bought this sdd as extra store for my xbox series x and I have to say that I give 4 stars because the ssd isn’t fast enough for the new games on the console and you can’t play them but, If you want it for something else this ssd is a great option

The speed is a little bit under the speed announced. But overall very good. No problem to manage 4 k files. My only complaint is that the software don’t recognise the disk ! I have. MacBook Pro 15′ i7 2016. Mac os Catalina.

I have had my T7 portable hard drive for about 1 year. This drive has been in use from computers, cell phones. It transfer data speed real quite like zip files has been transferred already.

So far I’m fully satisfied with the T7 (2tb). Light, very easy to install. Speedy enough for a whole bucket of images files. And enough space to last me a year … Size matters ! The smaller the better : my file library will take less space and that counts too.
