The Samsung 2TB T7 Portable SSD is a compact and secure storage solution that fits in the palm of your hand. Roughly the size of a few stacked credit cards, the T7 is equipped with 256-bit AES encryption and password protection, so users can rest assured knowing their data is safe. Moreover, with PCIe NVMe technology, the T7 offers users quick performance and little downtime with read and write speeds of up to 1050 MB/s and 1000 MB/s respectively. With a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, it’s also backward compatible with USB 3.0 and Type-A devices with an appropriate cable. The T7 comes with embedded management software, which helps you set up a password and get firmware updates. The software works with Windows and Mac computers and is compatible with Windows 7 and higher, Mac OS X 10.10 and higher, or Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and higher.

The ssd is really small and convenient to carry around. Using it to save space on multiple computers is really great especially when you don’t have internet to access cloud storage
Alena Brown (verified owner) –
this is warp fast, love this ssd, twice as fast as the t5

Great solid case. Very fast read/write on my system (W541) and desktop. Great for on the road archiving. Just a word of warning – has not happened to me – but SSD when crashed, all is lost. Th old spinners only crash sectors, so retrieval is possible, Hence get TWO SSD, mirrored when travelling. Use Syncovery to sync.

I bought this a year ago, and I really happy I did. it is so convenience and easy to carry around. now I will never run out of space for my pictures and videos.

I appreciate the physical size – smaller than my wallet and the speed in which I can download and backup all my files.

Living in coastal South Carolina I am now used to evacuations (the mandantory type) and there is a physical limit of what you can take with you systems wise. I have both the 1TB and 2TB versions of this beauty, and with both of them I can leave town with every file that I care about. Every photo, spreadsheet, document or whatever, and it fits in my pocket.

I wanted a way to download and install OS Catalina on my older iMac without disrupting the existing OS and its related photo/video editing programs. Some contain problematic 32 bit elements. Downloading Catalina to the Samsung SSD basically gave me a second computer. The operating system and Davinci Resolve 16.2 live there. Everything else works swimmingly on the internal iMac Fusion drive.

Well-designed hard case and edges. USB C interface is a good plus.

Worth every penny, super fast, extremely portable and just a nice looking SSD. I recommend this SSD to every one.

I backup my Mac Mini M1 with critical files each day. Should I have to evacuate my condo, this little drive fits in a pocket and takes up little room. Great for peace of mind!

I couldn’t be happier! The small size and fast speed are everything I need.

I use this drive with a 2019 MBP , it is my Lightroom Classic working library. Works as advertised, plenty fast and no issues.
Nia Ryan (verified owner) –
Using this SSD with my Tesla Model 3 and Sentry recordings and works like a charm. I don’t have anymore corrupt videos due to slow transfer rates.

I use these in my video digitizing business to deliver ProRes files to clients. For that they need to be fast and reliable (my reputation is at stake!) and these have never let me down. They look cool too, which may seem unimportant, but I like things to reflect the overall quality of my work. I’ve bought dozens of these and continue to do so.

I have 2 T5s and as great as they are this one is slightly faster and a bit thinner. Slowly switching out of a chonky 4TB HD to these T7s. 10/10 recommend if you’re in the market for storage devices

For a small-sized drive, I use this to move data between Mac and Windows systems. Much more reliable than SD cards and USB thumb drives. Even thinner form factor that the T5. Very happy with this purchase.
Tiana Macejkovic (verified owner) –
A great drive, and super B&H service as usual.

This did not work with my ATEM switchers. It kept stopping when recording to it. Works fine with everything else though. For the switchers I will just stay with the 500gb unit.

Great design, consistent fast speeds, and in colors. Only thing that would be a little nicer if they were slightly less expensive lol
