I was tempted to get an T5 to save on some money, but honestly the speed on this thing is unbeatable. I can edit 4K footage on it with no problems. However, most of my workload I have on this is editing multiple 7-minutes-and-under social videos and doing that kind of editing is seamless.

It’s much smaller than I expected. Smaller than the 5. It is extremely fast for editing 4K video

I picked this up remembering that I had a 250gb Samsung EVO inside my old iMac after the OEM drive died; had great lick with that drive and this is no different. This thing is positively TINY. About the size of a credit card, only a little over a quarter inch thick, and can tuck just about anywhere for safe keeping. LIGHTNING FAST transfer rates and has been serving the purpose as my working drive for photo processing and editing. Kudos, Samsung. This rocks.

It’s fast to transfer or retrieve files for any task at home or at work,it have two cables to connect to usb C or usb 3 connection,it’s a credit card size. Awesome.
Stewart Herman (verified owner) –
This drive is tiny. I added a non-slip piece to the back to keep it from skidding around my desktop. Editing FCX with this drive is a lot fast than the 7200rpm drives I’d been using.

this this is awful. it disconnects all the time causing me to lose any unsaved work. i keep getting an error every time i try to set up a product service request on this terrible website as well. i’m probably not going to buy from you guys in the future.

Works amazingly for video editing. I have T5s and T7s and honestly haven’t noticed much of a difference in performance. Always get the fastest and largest drive you can and you’ll never regret it in the future.
Giovanna Hodkiewicz (verified owner) –
Very compact and yet still fast.

This Samsung 1TB T7 Portable SSD (Red) is excellent I’ve had this drive year ago for ply video on my smart TV. Now I buy another one again.

I have used previous versions of these small SSDs to create multiple backups of my photos when on an important photographic trip, like a safari. My headline says it all. I got the new T7 version for the extra speed, because on safari, time is often short. I generally have to do my backups in a few minutes between a shower and dinner. For traveling home, my spouse and I can split up these drives in different carryons to minimize the risk of theft or loss.

My 3rd samsung portable ssd, but the first time I bought a T7 series model. It really does deliver the rated speeds, saving a lot of time in copying stuff around.
Olin Paucek (verified owner) –
It works as advertised, so far it’s fast and reliable.
Josianne Kihn (verified owner) –
The highlight is it’s lightweight nature and fast transfer speeds.
Sharon Kuphal (verified owner) –
Fast. Did reformat drive in NTFS as it initially stopped being recognized by my computer. All good now.

I got the 1TB T7 in Grey and in Blue. They work fine. I only had to change the format from exFat to NTFS which is what I prefer to keep with what is current. I like that it has a blue LED to confirm that it is connected or busy doing something, unlike the Western Digital MyPassport SSD competing model. It came with two 18-inch cables, one a USB-A to USB-A, the other USB-C to USB-A. It now remains to find out how long it lasts before failure.

Small, fast and works great!

I bought the 1TB version 6 months ago, and this is the best portable SSD I’ve ever used. It’s really compact and thin but powerful so that I can bring it anywhere. The read and write speeds were really fast, which saved my time a lot. I will recommend friends and relatives to buy this product because of its high value and benefits.
