The Samsung 2TB T7 Portable SSD is a compact and secure storage solution that fits in the palm of your hand. Roughly the size of a few stacked credit cards, the T7 is equipped with 256-bit AES encryption and password protection, so users can rest assured knowing their data is safe. Moreover, with PCIe NVMe technology, the T7 offers users quick performance and little downtime with read and write speeds of up to 1050 MB/s and 1000 MB/s respectively. With a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, it’s also backward compatible with USB 3.0 and Type-A devices with an appropriate cable. The T7 comes with embedded management software, which helps you set up a password and get firmware updates. The software works with Windows and Mac computers and is compatible with Windows 7 and higher, Mac OS X 10.10 and higher, or Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and higher.

I bought this T7 drive for my new Mac Studio, doing some occasional video editing and photo editing. When the drive arrived it was fast, 600-700 MB/s read and write. Now less than a year later the write speed has dropped off a cliff ago 60-70 MB/s. The drive is only half full and is plugged into the Studio’s Tb4 port. With write speeds like that I might as well be using and old spinning HDD. Not sure what happened, but very disappointed. Will be looking for a new SSD from another brand.

Hello, I ordered this with my Black Magic Pocket 6k and it didn’t work. I recently searched for the issue and found out that the T7 is not compatible with the BMPC 6K. This came with my camera so you may want to stop packaging these items together. I ordered a Samsung T5 and it worked perfectly. Maybe there is a software update i’m not aware of or something. Wish it worked

I got this for a NAS to use with my Asus router, and it was not recognized at first. I found that exFAT did not work for this. Once formatted in NTFS, it worked like a charm. Fast, silent, shock resistant. My only complaint is that the armored version went on sale for less than I paid only a few days later. I liked the armored version, but didn’t want to pay $20 more for it. Oh well…

This drive exceeded my expectations by light years. So fast it could break the sound barrier. In other words, wow – stunned into silence…. and with ions of space to travel! Since this purchase I have added a blue 500G to my external collection. Though yet to employ (or deploy) it … my expectations are equally high.
