I havent really done anything other than to load this with all of my important documents, music, etc., but that process was quite uneventful and it loaded quickly. Hard to believe this little device houses 256 GB, but, as we know, someday it will be 512. It is sleek, a real lifesaver of a device as a back up and checking with my friends at BH Photo is the FIRST thing I do when shopping for items like this.

The Flash drive showed stable performance, a high-speed transfer ratio, and well working in any OS (Linux, macOS, windows, android, chrome books). The metal cover is cool and beautiful, but plugging it into a USB port can scratch the connection region.

I ordered the flash drive straight from Samsung. Received the flash drive and have to say I like the feel nice and sturdy cool looking and feels real sturdy. I’m going to replace my other 3 flash drives with the Samsung flash drive because they feel more sturdy and look my elegant. Compared to my other ones. I wish I could name the brand don’t know if I can.

thought i had a good brand in samsung, but after 2 months usage, the bar plus usb flash drive failed and would not be recognized by my computers. very disappointed. the information on how to obtain warranty on the 5 year warranty policy of this item is obscure or hidden somewhere, but not on the product package and nowhere i could find on the website.

worked one time yesterday – now it won’t stay mounted on any pc in the house. mounts for 10-15 seconds and then throws an error and disconnects.

This is the best USB thumb drive I’ve found to date. It’s fast, it never gets hot, and it’s small enough to fit any USB socket-even on machines that have other USB connectors plugged into adjacent sockets, and even on the Apple extended keyboard, where the USB sockets are recessed on the underside of the keyboard. Operating temperature is an important consideration for me. I wanted a USB stick that I can use as a TechTool ProToGo boot drive for running diagnostics and repair on any Mac running macOS 10.13 or higher. That means the USB drive would not only be booting the computer, but also running the diagnostics and repair software. I’ve used this USB drive for that purpose on a MacBook Pro to run a file optimization program, and the stick never got hotter than warm to the touch. Impressive! I like the fact that the heavy-duty one-piece body of this device also forms the shell of the USB connector. The actual contacts are well protected, and there’s no cover or cap to lose, and no bulky shell that usually accompanies retractable connectors. I store mine in a plastic medicine bottle, which provides all the protection needed from dirt or mishaps. With a 5-year warranty, and resistance to water, X-rays, shock, temperature, and magnetic fields, what’s not to like about this great USB stick? NOTE: Like any of the recent generation USB drives, this one needs power, so if you connect to a socket that’s downstream from a hub (like a keyboard that’s plugged into a hub), you’ll get a system prompt telling you to plug directly into the hub, or to a socket on the computer. But that’s not a downside-just something to be aware of with all USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 drives of this kind.
