These little Samsungs are great. I’ve had at least 5 of them now and never had a single issue other than people liking them so much, borrow them, and then I never see them again. They are fast too and handle everything we need for quick file delivery between people, as boot drives, Windows Installer drives, and temporary backups.

I love how this product has so much memory space available. I can use it for so many different things like saving my work files, to personal pictures and videos. I always have it on the go for everything I need since I’m always doing new projects and work. I can keep everything organized and easily transfer files from one computer to another. I used to buy 6GB flash drives and I’d always get so frustrated because they never lasted long or I constantly had to override them and save files elsewhere. It was annoying trying to figure out what other 6GB flash drive had the files I needed. This flashdrive is a lifesaver.

The drive performs as expected. It is heavier than the Kingston equivalent. U gave it a 3 star review because of the design. It does not hang straight on a key ring. I had to add two smaller rings on it to get it to hang in line with my keys. Because of the design, you have to be selective in which USB port you put it in if you have two ports close together. I prefer my Kingston dtse92g drives over this drive, by far.

This usb flash drive gets the job done. The best feature is its matte exterior finish and its rugged durability. It can withstand all my every day hazards that can be thrown its way. This includes everything from the dust and lint from my pocket to an unexpected water event such as rain. The exterior paint finish can even resist the scratches from being on my key ring. The storage space and transfer performance are everything you can expect from a 3.0 usb flash drive. It gives people like a piece of mind not to have to transfer every file through a cloud service. This is a great product that I hope Samsung continues to develop.

I recently purchased a USB 3.1 flash drive from Samsung. The first thing I noticed when looking at the package was, wow this is tiny. The Flash drive is one of the smallest drives I’ve seen that contains 128GB. Just think about 128GB of data that can fit almost everywhere and able to access that data at just about SSD speeds. You can technically use this drive as a computer hard drive and boot from it, even install an operating system. The second thing I noticed when I received the package is the styling. It looks very premium, modern and solid. When transferring a large data file I noticed it copied over like this was an internal hard drive. Not all computers have USB 3.1 but it will work with 3.0 and 2.0 drives as well just not as fast. Overall I hope these flash drives get smaller, faster, larger, cheaper eventually you will be able to back up your entire existence into your pocket.

I purchased over 80 different sets of flash media for testing to determine the best/falsest/most cost effective for use in a very large deployment of new systems. the Samsung Bar Plus line tested the best accross the board. i would recommend that strong consideration be given to the 128Gb version. the increased transfer speeds are well worth the few additional dollars. That being said, the 64Gb drives performed flawlessly and held up for the deployment.

This is the best USB thumb drive I’ve found to date. It’s fast, it never gets hot, and it’s small enough to fit any USB socket-even on machines that have other USB connectors plugged into adjacent sockets, and even on the Apple extended keyboard, where the USB sockets are recessed on the underside of the keyboard. Operating temperature is an important consideration for me. I wanted a USB stick that I can use as a TechTool ProToGo boot drive for running diagnostics and repair on any Mac running macOS 10.13 or higher. That means the USB drive would not only be booting the computer, but also running the diagnostics and repair software. I’ve used this USB drive for that purpose on a MacBook Pro to run a file optimization program, and the stick never got hotter than warm to the touch. Impressive! I like the fact that the heavy-duty one-piece body of this device also forms the shell of the USB connector. The actual contacts are well protected, and there’s no cover or cap to lose, and no bulky shell that usually accompanies retractable connectors. I store mine in a plastic medicine bottle, which provides all the protection needed from dirt or mishaps. With a 5-year warranty, and resistance to water, X-rays, shock, temperature, and magnetic fields, what’s not to like about this great USB stick? NOTE: Like any of the recent generation USB drives, this one needs power, so if you connect to a socket that’s downstream from a hub (like a keyboard that’s plugged into a hub), you’ll get a system prompt telling you to plug directly into the hub, or to a socket on the computer. But that’s not a downside-just something to be aware of with all USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 drives of this kind.

So I bought this exclusively to use with my Nvidia Shield TV and the transfer speeds when tested on my laptop are pretty slow. I connected it to my MSI GT60s USB 3.0 port and it was really slow. Like the write speed was in the 30s and reads were around 80s. I have other USB HDDs and this one was the slowest of them, not even close to the advertised speeds. Really disappointed with the product.

If you need a flash drive with speed for sustained writes (think 12GB copy), this is your drive. It sustains the write speed when ALL of the cheap flash drives choke down to very slow speeds. If you are copying documents and pictures, maybe 20MB at a time, go with the cheap ones.

This flash drive is by far the best compact storage device that I have ever owned. I am used to the cheap plastic feel of other brands but the Samsung Bar Plus is solid and doesnt feel like it will break or fall apart if dropped. I like that it is also waterproof and I found out that it really is after my drink fell over on my pants. It is fast and I actually had to create a USB restore drive and I was expecting that it would take awhile but it was ready to go in under 10 minutes. Great price for what you get.
