Decided to upgrade to this SSD as the factory SATA HD on my Dell starting acting up, slowing down everything and finally Dell Support Assist software highlighted an imminent HD failure. Did some homework and narrowed the choices down to Samsung & Crucial, deciding for this EVO series. Boot time and all processor-intensive applications are way-faster compared to the original HDD. As usual, GREAT service, price, delivery and beyond from B&H.

Replaced a 1 TB 5400 HDD with this drive. Only 10% for the HDD was in use. The desktop with this drive is much faster, especially when booting up, and there is no longer the HDD whirr. Very happy I did it, and it eliminated the long wait for the HDD go get the desktop booted up. Samsung reliability, speed, and the Samsung Magician.

Received this quickly and is working exactly as expected so far. It has only been running for about a week so I can’t speak to its longevity, but at least it is working correctly and is so much faster than the spinning hard drive it replaced! Note for anyone reading, this comes with NOTHING for cables or mounts or screws. It is simply the drive itself and a little warranty booklet. Make sure you purchase a SATA cable and mounting screws and etc if you don’t already have them! I was lucky I was able to scrounge up a cable and screws for it.
