With samsung you get quality and durability. I’ve had my original 250gb drive for years no problem. I think it costed more or the same as the 1tb now. Good time to upgrade.

I used many Samsung Internal SSD, run so fast and safely. First of all, I used 500 gigs for driveC, when this drive was almost full, I replaced and drone the first one by Samsung 1TB. After 1TB was full, I replaced the second one and drone with this Samsung 2T. Both B&H and the products of Samsung are perfect.

I love these solid-state drives! They are soo dependable, rugged, and don’t have the fragility of the mechanical rotating drives. I plug this one into both old and new machines, and it never misses. I initialized it as one single huge volume with just one top-level directory! It works perfectly every time. I use it to carry directories full of large files between machines.

I usually buy Samsung 500gb ssds for my system drives as I only run my OS and do not need more than 500gb of space. (I use 4 NVMe M.2 ssds srtipped as RAID 0 for my video files) Last month I bought some off brand SSds for $10 less and had all sorts of issues with them.. My advice is to pay a bit more for the Samsung and feel confident that you have a quality drive.

I bought this drive last year to add to the existing 3 870 EVO 2TB drives in my workstation bringing the total to 4. Why? I was running RAID 5 but quickly wanted to change to RAID 10 and needed another drive to accomplish that. These are essentially internal ‘data’ storage drives that I keep all the stuff that isn’t ‘installed’ on my boot drive (Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB). There are 2 other EVO 970 Plus drives on the motherboard as well. Every solid state drive I have ever owned (many) has been a Samsung. I find them to be super reliable and reasonably priced. Even my phone (S22+) and one of my monitors (Odyssey G7 32″) is a Samsung. Fanboy? Hardly. I just like stuff that works well and wouldn’t buy them if they were sketchy. Need a solid state drive? Look no further than Samsung.
