I bought this 870 EVO SATA 2.5″ SSD 1 Tb drive last summer for my aging desktop computer and the change was significant. The speed increase was beyond my expectations, making the unit act as if it were new. Start-up was much less than a minute whereas before I had to wait up to 3-5 minutes. All of the programs that I use daily come up immediately not the 2-3 minutes I used to wait. As a result of the speed-up, I purchased a second 870 EVO 256 megabytes for my laptop and was rewarded with an equal increase in speed from start-up to loading programs.
