I’ve been using the 870 evo 2tb ssd for a month now, got it to upgrade my pcs storage space, and it has performed exceptionally. Had NO trouble setting it up and paired with the Samsung magician it’s easy to see the performance. Has very good compatibility, very good read and write speeds, and a nice sleek design. Is definitely an upgrade to any PC and the best ssd I’ve had to date!

I bought this to add some extra SSD storage to my PC. I bought an 850 EVO 500gb in 2018 and it was my first SSD in my personal desktop. About a year back, I needed another 1TB in space in the SSD format instead of an HDD — and this 870 was not only an amazing price but top tier. It is faster and better than the already-good 850 I had!!!

Installed on 12/09/2021. The install was quick using the provided data migration software. Took about 1 hour total. The boot up time is a lot faster, but what amazes me is how fast the programs load. Lightroom starts up real fast. So it’s a very nice upgrade for $60.

installed the 870 evo to replace a hdd. has been installed for some months and i feel comfortable in writing a review now. the speed is incredible, both read and write speeds . used macrium reflect to clone the drive with no problems at all. i would recommend this drive and all samsung drives to anyone looking to increase performance and reliability.

This is a great SSD with a good amount of storage and performance especially for the price. I can’t speak for longevity but if it’s anything like my other Samsung SSD it will probably last a very long time.

I installed the disk the same day it arrived. I just dropped it into a double disk bay since I needed it as a storage disk. It went to work right away, I just had to create partitions. Currently, it has worked for ~2200 hours and it has a rating of GOOD 100%.

I had to download some free software (Macrium Reflect) to get my computer to recognize the drive, but once I had that the new drive works beautifully and is lightning fast.

I love Samsung drives, I got me three of ’em for my current build. I snapped off a star because maybe this was this drive, maybe it was the previous drive, I can’t tell (they all look alike) but during the installation, the L shaped section on the input port on one of the SATA plugs snapped off. Just great. I get the impression it’s mostly for saying which direction the plug should face, as the drives both still worked, but… As a note to Samsung, I love your drives, I want to continue to buy your drives. Maybe give a look at the structural engineering going into that section of your packaging and if your engineers say it needs stronger materials, give it to them instead of cheapening out. Having pieces of the product fall off is a bit of a cringe moment, you know what I mean? I’m keeping my drive and I’m sure I’ll love it, but just give that a look for improving your future stock.
