Install it…and it works. Why four stars rather than five? I’m reserving five stars for the SSD which, when installed and powered up, all by itself condenses the desired software out of the ther, debugs the installation, and starts running, entirely on its own. Now, THAT would be worth at least five stars.

I expected Samsung to fill in all the thruput shortfalls of the 860EVO and max out/saturate the SATA bottleneck. I did not see this. If I had it would still have been hard to give it a 5 star because the price is so out of touch with the rest of the market. Come on Samsung… bring up your game. Still, I consider Samsung to be the best except for possible one other I haven’t bought and tested.

Been using the 870 evo 2tb ssd for a few months now and have had NO problems with it. Runs smoothly, no lag whatsoever, and setting it up is very easy. Compatible with a variety of PC specs and if you want to know everything that goes on with the ssd you must download the SAMSUNG MAGICIAN app. .I definitely feel like I made the right choice for my pc by picking this product.

Functions well connected to a Rasperry Pi 4 setup as NAS. Make sure you buy the correct USB-SATA adapter if using with a Pi. The JSAUX branded apapter worked for me.

The SSD is fast, reliable and easy to install as expected. I bought this unit to replace de conventional HDD on a not-so-new Dell Vostro with i5 (9th gen) processor. It has 16GB and a very good nVidia card so I decided to give it a new life. Windows 10 PRO usually took roughly one minute to present the logon screen, but now it appears in just 6 seconds. I’m happy with the new SSD and also angry about the time I’ve lost bu not replacing the HDD before.
