The Samsung 1TB 870 QVO 2.5″ SATA III Internal SSD is their 2nd generation QLC SSD for PC and laptop use. It has a 2.5″ form factor at 7 mm tall and utilizes the SATA III interface to achieve sequential read and write speeds of up to 560 and 530 Mb/s respectively. Additionally, it comes with Samsung Magician Software for drive health monitoring and updates, and is backed by a three-year warranty.

The ssd is Samsung quality as usual. I forgot about the 2TB limitation for a boot drive and set it for MBR initially. After realizing my mistake I use EAseUS software to convert the drive to GPT without data loss. After that I was able to set two 2TB partitions and all is well. The SSD has performed flawlessly.

I bought a Crucial 2TB SSD and was very impressed with the increase in speed for access to files. So I bought the Samsung to increase speed on files that I have access to support programs. I’m not as impressed with the speed on the Samsung. I bought the Samsung because Crucial didn’t make a 4TB also the price was lower compared to other models.

Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. My data spin drive needed to be replaced and I either cough up $300 for a spinner or $750 (Dec. 4 special price) for a FAST, QUIET, EFFICIENT, LIGHTWEIGHT, RELIABLE, SMALL, COOL, Etc… Everything worthwhile has a price – You know what I did, and I have NO REGRETS (except for a lighter wallet). If you’re looking to upgrade from an HDD to an SSD look no further. It does exactly what you’re looking for, with no issue. This SSD took my lenovo laptops boot time from 2 minutes to 10 seconds. There is no write time, it’s just saved, there’s no boot time, whatever you want is booted. If fast is what you’re looking for, look elsewhere, if lightning isn’t fast enough, this is your SSD. After installing this I’ve bought 3 more, it’s that good. Do not hesitate! I just bought a digital photoshoot session I had for my daughter- 132 pics (25M) uploaded in no time! I love that I can back up such precious memories in this digital age!

The hard drive works great. We were intending to replace our hard drive and were looking at couple of options and thankfully were selected for this campaign. Performance is great and data transfer is as advertised. Easy to install, plug and use. Clone took 1:31 to complete from 5400 rpm HDD, using Samsung SSD data transfer so that was great as well
