The monitor display is good but the usb-c connection is problematic. When I shut down the MacBook pro, 2019 model, the monitor will restart the MacBook after a minute or so, then depending on some timer the monitor will power down and drop power to the MacBook and to the backup drive I have connected to the usb port on the monitor. But, then the monitor will come back on line when the MacBook apparently does some thing on the usb-c connection which then brings the monitor back on line. This cycle of powering itself on and off continues forever and generates a string of device disconnected alerts on the MacBook pro. I’ve tried contacting Samsung about this but since this is a business monitor you have to call that division and talk directly to a tech and after trying a couple of times and getting put on hold for over 20 minutes I gave up. I’ve tried playing around with the sleep and energy settings on the monitor and MacBook pro but I’ve been unable to stop this restart and disconnect cycle. What I’ve had to do is shutdown both the monitor and MacBook pro if I want to stop the restart cycle.

Like other’s said this monitor constantly turns off and on again if the computer has less than 100% battery. It’s happening right now as I type this. It is infuriating and makes it impossible to get anything done. This thing is total junk DO NOT BUY!!!

I was delighted when I opened the box and saw how beautiful the monitor was. I use the eye saver mode and can comfortably work for hours without eye strain. I considered taking one star away because there isn’t a way to power off the monitor, it just switches to standby mode, but I love the monitor so much I can overlook this design flaw.

I had high hopes for this monitor, and I think if you are not a design professional it’s sufficient and would be good for general computing, or even for watching movies or playing games. I work heavily in Adobe programs and cloud based design programs like Sketch and Figma, and I found the resolution to not be sharp unless I zoomed in tightly. The single connect usb cable is great and saves clutter which i love, but it does take a couple of plugging in and unplugging to get it to charge sometimes. Also the sound doesn’t work when plugged into my laptop which is strange.

I cannot tell whether it is the cable or USB-C port on the monitor, but the connection constantly drops on multiple settings. I am considering a warranty return.

This monitor has a great stand that is easily adjustable and the picture is nice and sharp. It’s a business monitor so don’t expect a eye catching design. Solid refresh rate and reaction time mean this monitor will play games pretty well also.

I have had this monitor for 4 months now and I have had no problems. The picture is great and I love to be able to switch views from horizontal to portrait

Connected to a late 2016 MacBook Pro (personal, via USB-C) AND a 2015 MacBook Pro (work, via Display Port & included adapter) the multiple inputs allow me to toggle between machines without disconnecting, which is fantastic. The USB-C cable works with the 2016 MBP, but I seem to have the same loss-of-signal issue reported earlier if the battery is not at 100%. It is a bit frustrating, but it seems the monitor might not have quite enough juice to power itself and charge an MBP at the same time while in use. Otherwise, the picture and features of this monitor are terrific.
