I’ve had tablets before that were slow and went thru a battery in no time. This unit is quick. When I click on anything it is there a moment later. The battery does what it is supposed to do and charges fairly quickly. Even without the memory card it has plenty of storage. I moved over all my phone games and photos, even videos and it hold them easily. So glad it was on sale when I needed it to be. We now have a Samsung TV, Refrigerator, my husbands phone and now this tablet. They all work great. Keep up the good work.

Samsung just can’t hit the mark when it comes to tablets. First thing out of the box, that old microUSB port stared me in the face. After that, everything went down hill. Just skip this tablet.

I bought this for reading and a bit of light gaming, this tablet is perfect for that. I would recommend something with better specs for anything else (i.e. word processing, screen sharing). For what I use it for it’s perfect.

My great-grandchildren are so excited about having their very own tablet. It is user friendly, well-built, and offers many options.

I ruined my Galaxy Tab A 8 (2017) trying to replace the battery. So, without doing full research I quickly placed an order for the Galaxy Tab A 8 (2019). It is an OK tablet but not as great as the (2017). The 2019 has a USB B port which means I can’t use my extra long USB C cables. Does not have a physical Home button. The power and volume buttons are lower down the side which meant I had to do some cutting on my current Samsung case. The rear camera lens is not in the same place so my case covers it up…looks like a new case will have to be purchased. The (2019) does not have a magnetic switch to turn the tablet off when the case cover is closed. I found the headphone jack to be troublesome as it took a bit of force to get the phone jack in. Missing is Auto Blue Light Filter and I really do not like Night Mode Theme. On a positive side there is not a lot of bloatware apps to hog memory. I feel Samsung makes a quality produce and hope they upgrade the OS to Android 10 soon!

perfect tablet to start off on. i wasn’t sure if i would use one or not, so i wanted to get a basic tablet to find out. i use it more than my phone when i’m at home now, and will be upgrading to something bigger. my one complaint is the old micro usb charge port. i haven’t had any issues with this one yet, but have never had anything where it hasnt eventually stopped making a good connection.

The size, weight, memory and sound is just right for travel. The maximum sound is loud and clear enough you do not need aux speakers. The quality of the screen is outstanding. All of this for a very reasonable price.

I had shopped all over for a good buy on a Tab A. I had actually ordered one from Verizon but discovered that they had added all kinds of additional monthly charges to my account & cancelled it. B&H’s site was easy to navigate, the price was excellent, they shipped it immediately, it arrived in 2 days well packed & complete. Thanks B& H.

i have had a larger tablet and i always had to use two hands to hold it. this 8″ samsung galaxy tab a is the perfect size and the screen is quite useful and not a bunch of wasted space. i tried using a 7″ amazon fire tablet and it was super heavy and bulky. this samsung is super lightweight, yet sturdy with it’s metal clad exterior. i added a protective cover and it’s still easy to hold and use. one thing i would have added was a flash / light to the front or back camera for those times i need it i use my phone instead. but i’m sure they knew what they were doing because maybe others in their research didn’t see the need for one.

so, my tablet has been fine for awhile but after a year apps started crashing constantly. i haven’t installed anything or done anything that could cause this to happen and i cant fix it and its making me to be anxious and making me panic. seriously, i loved this tablet and now its basically unusable.

Got this for a gift to replace my wife’s previous Galaxy tablet. Fast, sturdy, great screen… you can’t go wrong for a basic, functional Android tablet.
