The Samsung 8.0″ 32GB Galaxy Tab A is an entertainment-ready tablet with a 13-hour battery life and a crisp 8″ display for binge watching videos. A 1280 x 800 resolution offers crisp, clear HD content reproduction and its thin bezels provide a more immersive viewing experience. It’s powered by a 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 429 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage, which is expandable by up to 512GB via its microSD card slot. Users can also take selfies and pictures using its front 2 MP and rear 8 MP cameras. When power is low, recharge it using a micro-USB cable. Connectivity options include a 3.5 mm audio jack, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2. The operating system installed is Android 9.0 Pie.

Pros: Solid build and attractive. Big battery and you can add up to 512GB micro SD card. Decent display. Affordable. Cons: Kinda slow, low RAM (only 2GB), big bezels, middling cameras. Surprises: Immediately updated to current security patches and (are you sitting down?) updated to Android 10! Shocking for a year-old Samsung Android product. They are getting their update policies in order!

I got this to upgrade from my 7’Nexus. From the 32gigs of ram and the new Android and also the extra ram and the longer battery life. Everything I expected. Totally pleased with my purchase. The only negative I see is the weight…alittle heavier in the hand than my old Nexus tablet. So extended us holding it might get alittle tiresome.

This is the 3rd one of these I have bought. One for each kid. And the last ones were holding up great until my 4 year old dunked his tablet in a kiddy pool. They are the perfect size for kids to watch a movie and small enough to travel with (we now don’t bring them anywhere with water). They are very common tablets so it is really easy to find cases and protectors. The computing is fast enough to not frustrate a 4 year old. I find them pretty quick and responsive. I always to the tempered glass screen protector and a pretty beefy case and these tablets hold up well to drops and bumps. Very happy with these tablets, just don’t take it swimming!

since i had a galaxy note 9 (2018) phone i wanted something with a bigger screen to help with reading. i thought that this (2019) tablet, would be as snappy or would do things as fast as my phone, but it is laggy and not as fast at doing simple things like email and google hangouts. but it lets me read the things i need to and it is bigger than my phone so it serves that purpose.

I’m not sure why an 8 tablet with a gyro and compass has become a thing of the past, but I don’t need a 10 tablet so I bought this one. Nice but the screen colors and contrast are lacking and the touch screen response is slow. The battery life is OK.

I bought this tablet to test my android apps, and needed Android Pie with decent performance. This tablet delivered all that I expected and meets all of my business needs, including Chromecast screen mirroring for presentations, etc. Some people are complaining about performance and speed, however it exceeds my expectations, with the speed in my opinion around the latest iPad Mini. It loads apps fast, and can take whatever you throw at it. I love the aluminium build, and it feels extremely durable which is great for travel (which is a must for me). Overall, I would highly recommend this tablet for gaming or business. It is a great alternative for the iPad Mini, also with a cheaper price. In my opinion, it is currently the best Android tablet at the moment, especially for the price.
