Great monitor but unlike my other Samsung monitor, it disconnects and all windows on the screen go to the main screen, it’s annoying because everything gets resized and I have to move the windows back.

What’s great: THE PRICE, the contrast and brightness, the full set of cables and adapters, the elegant stand with a surprisingly good range of vertical and angle and rotational adjustment. What’s good: the viewing angles are plenty good enough that the user sitting in front of the monitor won’t notice any significant light falloff or haze, but someone standing next to them significantly off-angle or above will see some. It’s not an IPS panel where you can use it almost sideways, but it’s very, very good. What’s not so good: while the colors are rich and saturated, on a Mac, the default color profile makes reds way, WAY over-saturated and pushed towards magenta/fuschia. Painfully so, even for routine Web browsing. I found that switching to the included-with-Mac-OSX Rec. ITU-R BT.709-5 profile (it’s in the list of standard display profiles in system preferences, under the Display Color tab), paired with the monitor’s Basic Color in-monitor setting, fixed this nicely. It’s still a tiny bit more saturated than a perfect reference monitor, but it’s not noticeable unless you line them up side by side. Conclusion: I’m buying half a dozen more of these for my office. Our multimedia editors will keep getting their twice-the-price, perfectly calibrated from the factory IPS displays, but all the rest of the business users, programmers and general consumers who have played with this once I switched the color mode ooh-ed and ahh-ed and begged for one.
