I leave this plugged into my laptop. It hugs the side of the laptop and it’s black, so it blends in. And here’s how I use it — I have a software program called Second Copy that does incremental backups of specific folders on my hard drive. It backs them up once a day to this flash drive, automatically. So if (or is it when?) my hard drive crashes, I’ll have all of my important documents on this flash drive. Works great, super fast so the backups aren’t even noticeable when I’m working. Highly recommended.

This small but mighty flash drive is perfect for what I intended. Works well and I would highly recommend it.

I bought this with the intention of backing up my photo projects short-term so I can confidently clear all the images from my memory card after a project. The USB card works perfectly for that. It is so small I keep it installed all the time and barely notice it. When I bought my current laptop, I got a fast SSD drive instead of a comparably-priced HDD with a lot of storage space. This USB drive has the same capacity as my computer’s hard drive so it forces me into the good practice of using my internal drive only for storage of current and pending projects. When I am done editing a project, I copy that folder to the SanDisk drive and delete the original unedited version. At the end of the month, I copy all of that month’s photo projects to an external hard drive. I periodically copy those monthly folders to other drives and clear files of my laptop. Note that transferring data to the SanDisk USB drive is slower than transferring to an external hard drive, it’s not a big thing but just don’t expect blazing transfer speed. I usually start a transfer at a point where I’m ready to be away from the computer for a few minutes, no biggie and it’s a small price to pay for the convenience and peace-of-mind.

This low-profile drive was an ideal fit for our field services laptop. It allows the project and customer specific files to be kept on the drive to leave the main drive free for general purpose and common programs and files, yet can be kept in the laptop as it is taken in and out of the laptop bag and moved from site to site. USB 3.1 speed is excellent.

SanDisk 256 Ultra Fit USB 3.1 is a must have for the serious computer user. With some computers this flash drive offers more space than the standard drive. When travelling without your computer, carry this drive with all your files. Using this, you will never leave without it. I certainly do not.

Bought this to transfer raw digital files between devices in office and home rather than uploading and downloading to the cloud and happy to have the capacity. Didn’t notice it loaded any faster than other flash drives I own but could be because the computer slots are USB2. Assume it’s meant for semi-permanent attachment to whatever device you plan to use with it as it’s awfully small and a little hard to grip moving in and out of a USB slot. Uncertain how to store it traveling back and forth to prevent losing or damaging it; for now using a small plastic ziploc bag.

I’ve had this a year and a half. Periodically it will fail and need to be reformatted. Needless to say, that is less than ideal.
