I have a number of other, smaller capacity USB flash drives (all SanDisk), so when I needed a couple of larger models for temporary PC backup or whatever, I turned to the brand I trust. I’ve never lost data when using these drives.

Just purchased this item as a means of “triple redundant” backup for my photo catalog. I have used other SanDisk products in the past, and rely upon their excellent quality for my memory and storage needs. This item, as every other SanDisk product I have purchased, worked flawlessly out of the box. It includes software to encrypt your files, if you feel the need to do so. So far, I have backed up nearly 156 Meg of files, moving them from multiple smaller-capacity USB flash drives, to one. It does everything you ask of it. The one caveat I may have, and the only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5, was an early problem I had when first using the product. Every time I plugged this device into one of the front USB ports on my desktop, my wireless mouse would freeze/stop functioning. If I removed the USB, the mouse would immediately start to function again. After some trial and error, and a few minutes of research, I discovered that USB 3.0 devices have a known tendency to generate RF interference with wireless peripheral devices. Sure enough, the receiver for my wireless mouse was in the adjacent port. After plugging in a USB extension cord, and moving the SanDisk flash drive away from the wireless mouse receiver, both functioned as intended. I don’t have any other USB 3.0 flash drives to compare performance, so I can’t say whether this is a SanDisk issue, or something that I would experience with another manufacturer as well. If you have any issues with wireless peripherals not functioning after plugging in your USB 3.0 flash drive, RF interference is a good place to start troubleshooting from.

I am using these as one of my three backups for my photos (along with two hard drives). I used to use DVD’s but these are far faster to create and are very cost effective. Time will tell if they last years but I am confident they will.

Works well. Some bloatware; easily removed. Hard to get fully plugged in, and wont register until it is.

What can you say about a flash drive, it works! Always a good experience purchasing anything from B&H, quick, easy, inexpensive!

Use it all the time. Keep all my passwords and other private stuff on it so if someone steals the computer, they don’t get much. Move it beetween laptop and desktop to make shur that I am ussing latest data. I can never remember passwords and hate to let Bill Gates remember them for me on the laptop.

I love the large capacity of this flash drive. It’s nice that the USB plug retracts for protection. It’s working perfectly for me!

Every day use. Fast, small form-factor, very convenient and handy.

I have never had a problem with SanDisk products. They do not have bad sectors and last long past the end of the warranty. The case is strong and retracts easily; It never retracts while inserting it in a port.

I am using this flash drive to store my iTunes media. My media library is 202 GB; mostly music; 7000+ songs at 320 kbps. Because I have about a dozen HD movies (each 4 GB), I could not use the default FAT32 formatting (4 GB is the maximum file size). Although I am using OS X El Capitan, I wanted to format using the option most compatible with other platforms, but still able to handle file sizes larger than 4 GB. So I tried exFAT. (First, I backed up the software and files pre-loaded on the flash drive.) It handled the file sizes, but was writing 5+ GB files at 20 minutes per file. Reading was slow enough to cause occasional breaks in HD playback. I reformatted using OS X Extended (Journaled). The same files that took 20 minutes, now take 2 minutes. That speed improvement, however, is 4.25 MB/s to 42.5 MB/s. SanDisk claims speeds of (up to) 100 MB/s. Perhaps that is with a few small files. But, when it really counts, expect less than half that speed; or 1/20th if one do not format using the optimal option for one’s operating system. It is doing a great job. More flexibility would have been nice; sans ridiculous impact on performance.

I bought this to transfer video files. When I tried it, I got an error that said there was not enough room on the drive. But there was plenty of room. Turns out I needed to reformat the flash drive as XFAT in order to accept large gb files. Not a huge problem, but still a problem.

It does what it is supposed to do with no problems. Works in multiple devices and has the capacity I want.

I love that I can store huge volumes of material from my computer with the small flash drive. I works for me as a back up of my photos and data.

When I am transferring data it gets really hot, something I think might harm the computer.
