I got this to store my pics off-site in my lock box at my bank. Sort of my backup if there is a fire or tornado that destroys my home. Very small in size and it is not self covering – I thought the plastic flipped around and covered the opening, but it doesn’t. That is fine. I put it into a case with a couple of other drives that I store off-site. Like the 64GB size and the price was right (on sale).

This is probably the most smallest, compact USB drives i’ve ever owned. Especially for 128 GB’s of storage space. The only thing I don’t like about this drive is the write speed – when writing many large files to this drive, the write speeds go up to around 17-20 Megabytes per second, then automatically goes back down to significantly less than 1 megabyte per second. I believe this has to do with it’s caching mechanism. This makes storing large files on this drive (like movies) much slower. But I like the fact that this has a 5 year warranty.

I like the form factor, but find it is much slower writing than my 64GB SanDisk flash drive. It’s almost USB 2.0 speed. Looking for an alternative that is much faster.

As you can see the unit is primarily made of metal and that is its only drawback. It gets very hot, I would not give this to a youngster to use.

I just got this for extra storage. The flash drive is great. The actual storage is 119GB so don’t buy if you need more than that, but it is not a problem for me. The flash drive itself deserves 5 stars. The reason I gave 4 stars is I had it sent by Super Saver Shipping and it said the shipping was free but it turned out that the shipping was due upon delivery. The Shipping was not that much but it would of been nice if it said that the shipping would be due upon delivery.
