I have purchased 6 of these drives, I am guessing that at such low price, these things are probably in the ‘disposable’ category. So far, none have failed. I really like the large capacity; I can put a ton of files in one temporarily. And the dual port is a huge advantage on the MacBook Pro, given the limited (4) number of USB-C ports in it.

i carry this all the time. you never know when you need to get a file from one computer to another especially when there no internet. I also carry some portable programs so that a plus too. Love how sleek and small it is, the usb and type C connection is easily accessible.

With a new MacBook and also an older one and a Windows notebook, transferring files has been more trouble than it should be. This solves the issues. But it’s TINY with no means to attach a lanyard or clip!

This flash drive enables me to backup and move files from my computer with thunderbolt ports to devices that use the USB-A ports. It works very well.

i have jumped from usb 2.0 to this sandisk…it’s another league…solid built, and faster than all my (old) stuff…i even use with my tablet…OTG..great

Ideal for those who have to exchange files between different computers. And even using the same brand of computers, they don’t talk to each other (thanks Apple with your USB-C) … so, this flash drive has become an important part of my cable and charger case when I travel or am in House.

Just the ticket. I have a video recorder with usb type A connection only, while my new computer has only thunderbolt connections. Use to use a Type C to type A adapter to transfer files. This SanDisk Altra Dual Drive lets me transfer files directly at near four times the previous speeds. .

I recently bought one of the newer MacBook Pro models with only USB-C ports, so I shopped around to find a USB drive that would have compatibility with my old laptop as well as my new one. This does its job in that it can transfer files between the two devices, but it REALLY heats up. I transferred a pretty small folder of all word documents initially, then made some edits to a few documents on my new laptop, and when I ejected it, it felt like it had been left on top of a stove. Seriously that thing was HOT. Other than the heating problem, it doesnt seem to really have any issues, so if youre okay with that then this will be a good buy for you.

I have an iMac 27 at home and use a MacBook Pro with USB-C for travel, and this Flasdrive is ideal for the two of you to talk to each other.

Works well on my Nexus 6P Phone, Very nice design

The drive has a slide on the top to select which end, the USB A or the USB C, you want to insert. The slide should lock the end in place so it can be inserted into the device. On two examples of the drive, the lock did not hold and it became difficult to use the USB A adapter unless a finger held the slide in place while inserting. I returned both and am now using a different brand, better designed and better made. Disappointed by this San Disk product.

Transfer data fast, store huge data, good for the price. Very convenient with USB-C and USB 3.0 alternative ports.

I bought a new MacBook Pro, it only has USB-C ports, so I bought this USB stick to transfer files between my computer and any other computer with a regular USB port. This thing is amazing.

Performance and quality were confirmed while using USB storage devices of various companies. All products generally promote reading speed. Therefore, the reading speed is fast. However, I think writing speed is more important. Of all the products I have used, SanDisk products are the most reliable. This product can be used in two ports, so it is convenient and has excellent performance.

It was tough to attach a lanyard but this was perfect for being able to keep essential docs handy for viewing on basically any PC plus work on iPads and phones.
