Works great. Fast transfers.

Got this for my Grand daughter at school. Her laptop has only USB type-C connectors and the most convenient printers have only USB type-A connectors. With this drive she can not only interface with the printer but is able to move data and images between Type-A and Type-C equipped devices without the restrictions associated with wireless electronic communications. She can create documents on her laptop, save them to this drive and interface with devices having type-A USB connections. 256GB doesn’t seem like much but it seems to more than adequate for these purposes.

We share files with others, and having both the old and new style USB connections make it a no-brainer.

very compact

Hey is a TB of space in the size a little bigger than a quarter. When it comes to transfer speeds it comes up very wanting. Here’s hoping it makes up for it in reliability.

When I received and began to use the SanDisk 1TB flash drive, I became worried when I received an ‘insufficient space’ message when transferring files past about half full. Then, I tried reformatting it, and it has been a champ ever since! No problems with access or reliability. The only caution I have (as others noted) is that it runs very hot in use.

good value for your money

Got two of these for my wife and I, perfect for the iPad Pro, no app required.. Good Price, enjoy!
Daisha Beier (verified owner) –
This tiny drive enabled me to upgrade my OS X system. The upgrades seem to be getting larger and my MacBook Pro’s disk is only 120GB. I placed some large apps on the SanDisk, cleared them from my Macintosh HD, and then proceeded with the upgrade. Then I brought back the apps onto the Macintosh HD. Worked perfectly. In operation the SanDisk was warm to the touch, and this is probably why the case is metal.

Great build feels substantial. Very fast and easy to put on the key ring so you don’t leave it behind.

I purchased it recently and not sure for how long it is gonna last. But, it works! As some other reviewers also mentioned, it get hot during the files transfer; however, it has not been a major issue. After all, it is made of metal.
Janice Lueilwitz (verified owner) –
Uncomfortably hot after just transferring a couple hundred MB to it, either using USB-A or USB-C. The first 100-200MB transfer at expected speed, after that, speed drops by 30-40%, presumably being throttled back for heat management. It stays warm while plugged in, even if it isn’t being used. Sandisk has agreed to replace it under warranty; expecting a new unit back from them in ~2 weeks.

Easy to use, flexible between PC and Mac, very small and compact. It does have tendency to heat up with high usage

I have a number of legacy and new machines mixed in my school music lab. I am constantly having to shuttle creative projects from one device to another and this is the perfect solution. it is always on my ID card lanyard. Never had a problem with it gong from Windows to Mac and back.

Great drive to transfer data from computer to ipad. Rather than spend extra at Apple for a 256gb, I just purchased this for more storage, for less the cost. Excellent buy, reputable company.

kept running super hot on USB Type A port. Failed after using for 3-times.
