Small, durable, and very fast. So far satisfied with it.

Seems to work well but gets very warm. I only use sandisk products and might give them a call to see if this is normal.

Received these and used a couple to hold a number of my travel photos. They feel heavy duty and better than most everything else on the market. I know I can trust SanDisk, also.

It has not been long since I purchased this flash drive. So far, I have had any problem with that. I think it is pricy. Perhaps cheaper flash drive would be as good as this one.

I loved the original SanDisk USB C/A flash drive and this version is even better. I’ve been using SanDisk product for years now and when I Upgraded my Mac I started looking for reversible USB drives. I tried a few different brand but I always loved a solid metal or titanium drive. SanDisk nailed it with these new drives. It’s basically as small as you could possible get a drive with this design. I tried the drives that just had a Type-C port on one end and Type-A on the other but I didn’t like that I couldn’t put it on my key chain. This drive is perfect for that. I don’t do anything more than it needs and what it does do it does exactly as I would expect it. I own several of these now and I’ve never had a problem with them.

This is a Great Flash Drive! Has BOTH usbA and usbC on the same drive! Very small and well made! Get this one!

Only drawback is one common to all metal USB drives: it gets hot when connected, even if not transmitting data. But at least the swivel cover stays cooler.

Stylish and useful whats not to like?
Allie Mann (verified owner) –
It does everything it’s supposed to do, it’s fast and it’s elegant, and it can be clipped on a key ring or on a ring in a computer bag. My only caveat is that it’s so small it’s easy to lose in a pocket or somewhere else if you’re the kind of person who misplaces things. For me, it’s terrific and I love SanDisk products. Now, if you add an Apple AirTag, it’s a five star home run.

Fast transfer speed, can use in my android phones directly as a USB lash drive. Rugged design. It just works

This is a perfect dual mode USB-A/C flash drive for Mac users who have devices that have one or the other USB port. This drive allows to store data from both devices and transfer between them. The downside is that the drive becomes fairly hot when plugged into USB-C port, but I have not seen any diminishing performance or speed due to that. The file transfer is pretty fast.

Nice memory!

Fast. Works as it should. Nice for transferring files between phone and laptop. Metal case makes it a little heavy, but it’s very heavy duty. I think you could probably smack it with a hammer and it would still work.

I always had the best luck with Sandisk products and this little bugger is no exception, indispensable when moving between computers and for rural geeks who must trek 25 miles to Best Buy each way for their free Wifi uploads.

I expected the speeds I got and found them more than adequate for nearly any general purpose use. I tested its speed as soon as I received it with the AJA System Test and for a 1 GB file, it got a 65 MB/sec write speed and 147 MB/sec read speed. You can get some similar read speeds with cheaper drives, but this drive’s write speed is better than most and you’d need something significantly more expensive to write data faster. I got essentially the same speeds using either of the drive’s ports, as I expected. Unless you are constantly writing huge data chunks like massive video files, this drive should serve you well, and I have had good reliability from Sandisk. The swing clip over the USB-C port is an added bonus. It is very small and easily lost though; if I can find one fault, I wish they included a short cord or lanyard to not lose it – but this is quite minor. It can heat up with prolonged use, but this is also normal.

I got this and paid extra to get the Type C port for use with my new gaming computer which has a 3.1 Type C port. The Type A port worked fine but the C port was not recognized. I made numerous attempts to get it to work but all failed. It’s not worth returning it so I paid more to get a Type A Flash Drive. I do not recommend this flash drive as it is harder to use than an ordinary Type A only drive..

In terms on read and write speeds it’s definitely not the fastest to transfer files. In my test with Black Magic Disk Speed Test I averaged about 60mb/s write speeds and read speeds at about 150mb/s. Out of the box it’s formatted to FAT32 so I had no issue using the flash drive on both my Macbook Pro and my phone. The flash drive comes preloaded with Sandisk’s Memory Zone app for android, which makes it pretty easy to clear up storage on your phone and transfer them to the flash drive. Of course the main selling point to me for this flashdrive was the build quality and the size of the flashdrive. The entire flashdrive is about the size of a regular house key and it’s crazy to imagine that SanDisk was able to fit 1tb of storage onto it. The flash drive feels good in your hands with it’s metal design, the hole at the top of the flash drive allows me to keep the flash drive on my key ring for files for having instant access to my files where ever I go. The USB-C and USB-A interface means I can grab files from anyone while i’m on the go. To sum it up it’s definelty not the fastest drive out their, but in terms and size, build quality, and design, to me this flashdrive is a no brainer.

I use with device with my iPad Pro to transfer files (docs & images) to the Flash Drive. Then transfer to my MacBook Pro.

This is by far the Best Flash Drive I have ever purchased. It’s very sturdy, fast, efficient, and versatile. It works great on my old iMac, as well as my new iMac. This flash drive has exceeded all my expectations! Highly Recommended!

It is fast, it is small, but it gets very hot. I’ve never had a thumb drive generate so much heat so quickly.
